My nephew is in grade school and loves most sports. He previously had one of these basketballs and liked it so it was great to be able to get him another. It is cool for him to be able to play at night, even if it is more of a novelty than a ball that would be used for constant play.

This is surprising how well it works. The ball feels like a normal basketball and bounces like one. Even though I didn't need to remove the light, I wanted to see how easy it was to take the lights out and replace the batteries. I was please to find it is easy to remove with the tool they provide and it really is impressive how well the ball lights up. The ball is perfect for anyone that often plays ball in the dark. Much easier to keep track of the ball as the sun goes down. I recommend using a normal ball while there is plenty of light but as soon as it begins to get dark, this is the ball to use. Really an impressive fun ball. The ball pump it came with works really well also. It feels pretty cheap but it works great.

Such a cool idea! Teaming this up with a light-up hoop for summer and Oldest can play as late as his heart desires! The ball has a good feel to it ... nicely textured, good bounce. And the lights ... so much fun! I have had the WORST luck with light-ups lately, but this basketball worked right out of the box. Glad, too, that the batteries can be replaced as needed. A small, standard pump and needle is included (always appreciated, as we go through those like most people go through M & M's). Great choice!Update: We dribbled the ball later today in the kitchen, and it left a residue on the floor which we unknowingly carried throughout the house on our stockinged feet ... all the hard floor surfaces were slick as glass! Great b-ball, but only use it outside.

This basketball is perfect to play with at night. SO far it's holding up well. Needed something to keep us going when it gets darker especially in the fall/winter when the weather is still decent. This works great. light is enough to make the ball glow. I'll see how the light holds up long term.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a very cool basketball that lights up the basketball in the dark when force is applied to the ballIt requires 6 button batteries that are a bit hard to replace and probably only adults can do itThe part where the button batteries are inserted has a harder plastic piece on both side which when it hits the ground does create a different bounce. But this isn’t for real bballing on the court but more for kids to have fun in the dark/dusk

My 11 year old thinks this ball is the most amazing thing. It's super good quality and the light is bright.

The media could not be loaded.  This basketball is great! It is very bright., dribbles well and shoots well. The grip on it is good too. The lights are balanced very well, and we never felt like the basketball was wabbling or drifting because of the lights. It was fun to play with last night as my son and I went out and had an enjoyable time playing in near darkness. I am hoping the batteries will last a long time. I think they will as the ball lights shut down pretty quickly after you stop moving it. Definitely worth the money!
