Fits in the palm of your hand. This thumbell is great fun. Identical to one I saw in the Museum shop at the Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) in Phoenix and regretted not buying. Happy to find it on Amazon. Tie a string to the thumb ring so you don't loose it.

Authentic feel and really neat. I have giant hands and the thumb ring fits well enough to be used comfortably. A rather dull ring/clank that is not as cutting as a clave but still nice. Will permit one-handed time keeping while using the other hand on another instrument. I would buy again...sounds good, looks great, and supports a great cause!

I have 5 of these bells - they are great in a drum set to play the clave role - loud and penetrating click! Wonderful little bells - great in drum circles too. Extremely portable if you want to bring just one instrument!

I purchased this as a gift for my significant other who is a musician. He loves experimenting with different sounds and this produces such clear, crisp rings that are unlike anything we have heard before. Simply beautiful!

I gave this a good review because of the service. However, I have played this bell in the past and have to say that the recycled iron one I just received renders it inferior to those cast from one piece of iron. The sound is flat, the color is grayish and it rings like common glass, where the older ones ring like fine china. I will look for one from another seller that is more authentic.
