Great shampoo!!
Works as advertised! My Heeler pup gets itchy especially during pollen season. He gets hot spots behind his paws where he focuses on licking a lot. After using this, the results are highly noticeable! He stops itching completely and his hot spots vanish. This shampoo also gets him so soft and smelling awesome for the next couple weeks! The smell reminds me of baby powder and his hair feels so luscious!!Highly recommend!!!

Helps the "itchies"
Our golden has struggled this year with hot spots; normally, hot spots aren't an issue with him but the poor guy was constantly scratching. We tried switching is food, shampoo, flea medication...nothing worked. We bought this as a last ditch effort before we brought him to the vet and this helped more than anything else we had tried. It didn't cure the problem but it did ease the "itchies" for about a week. Once he started itching again, we'd give him another bath and over time, the "itchies" got better. I'd say by wash #4 we were managing it well.Pros: Smell was nice and pleasant. It also left his coat nice and fluffy; and for a ranch dog...that's say something!Cons: The term "a little goes a long ways" doesn't apply to this shampoo. We use 1/4 of the bottle for each bath. That's the only con that we could think of.One trick we found for helping his hot spots was to blow dry him afterwards. He looked like he could have been in an Herbal Essence commercial but we found that when we started blow drying him, the "itchies" improved, the hot spots were able to heal, and he was much more comfortable. Hope that tid-bit helps others.

I love Vets Best!
We have a Golden Retriever/Wheaton Terrier mix that has severe allergies, every fall he lives on Benadryl and that only gives some relief and often times goes to the vet. Last year he got really bad, he had super red skin, bald patches, little blisters, scabs, and would not stop scratching. We took him to the vet and of course he had to be on meds and a prescription shampoo. He had to be bathed every other day for weeks and I did not want to have to use an expensive prescription shampoo for the entire time so I did some research and came across this shampoo. It is amazing! I used it every other day just like our vet said. After the first use his skin looked considerably less red and with each bath it got better and better. It helped relieve his itching some too. Not only did it not dry him out, it made his skin and fur so soft. After his meds and constant baths, he healed up nicely. After having such good success with this product I started him on the Vets Best "Healthy Coat Shed and Itch" supplement and the "Seasonal Allergy Support". He gets a bath about once a month now and his supplements daily, and he not only has not had to go to the vet but he hasn't even needed Benadryl! I have the "Hot spot Itch Relief Spray" for any spots I think may be getting itchy but that is it. This stuff has helped so much!

Didn't work for Lucy
My Maltese/Yorkie has severe skin allergies requiring regular bathing to keep her comfortable. We have been using a shampoo prescribed by our vet and I was looking for a shampoo to use alternately with the prescription shampoo. The reviews were so good for this shampoo I thought I would give it a try. Sadly, it made her condition worse, so we had to stop using it. I am sure it works fine on most dogs, but our little girl's skin problems are just too big for this shampoo.

Works every time!
I have four dogs that occasionally start getting itchy for whatever reason, especially my lab, who seems to have the worst allergy symptoms, including hot spots if not caught soon enough. Between giving her the allergy support pills, also made by vet's best, I give her a bath with this shampoo when I notice her scratching a lot and the problem is solved. As a side note, though I feed my dogs very high quality dog food and contribute their allergy/itchiness issues to weeds in their country living environment, I had a friend who went into a customers home in another state to do some work and found from the older homeowner that her dog had some itchiness issues. Without knowing anything about his diet, only that he was a city dog and got regular baths, my friend got my recommendation for what dog shampoo I used, went out and bought this product locally for his customer to try and in follow up visits on work he was doing at her house, discovered that the dog was almost completely healed of his itchy spot without any other changes or medications. So if you have an itchy dog, for any reason, I'd definitely recommend trying this product. It not only has healthy ingredients, it also works!!! Just a fair warning though....you do have to lather the dog and let it sit on them, which may or may not be the longest few minutes of your lives, but it is worth the wait, so don't let that deter you.

NO WET DOG SMELL
My doggo is 13 so he’s an old man. His skin is just not the same and he starts smelling a lot sooner now. He had a pretty bad hot spot on his left side on his butt so I was frantically googling shampoos to get to give him some relief. Decided to go with this! I ordered this at 10pm last night and it was on my doorstep at 6 am this morning! 😂 I gave my doggo a bath (he hates baths but we won’t get into that) and the smell was amazing. It created great suds and lathed him up well. He’s 74 lb border collie mix so he’s a big doggo with lots of hair. After drying my dog after a bath is difficult. He is absolutely terrified of hair dryers, vacuums, anything with that sound so I never get to properly dry him but get him good with a towel. He usually will have that wet dog smell since he air dries mostly. NOT THIS TIME. I’m still smelling the shampoo scent that is so nice. I’ll give an update on how his hot spot looks when he’s dry.Edit: This shampoo smell literally lasted for 2 weeks. I could not believe I would still smell it on him???? This is miracle shampoo ya'll!
