Hamilton Beach Electric Sealed Sandwich Maker

I love this product, it is a favorite of Mo Cocina because it is very easy to use and clean.

It works very well and doesn't take up much space. It's easy to store and leaves the bread very golden and delicious.

It cooks sandwich is good. I love a stuffed sandwich, but it’s smaller than I thought it would be wish it were just a little bit bigger.

I apparently bought this in October 2018. At first it enjoyed occasional use, but these last couple of years as my teens have discovered they have to fend for themselves sometimes, it has become a regular fixture on my kitchen side (despite multiple reminders to put it away when its cooled 😉). Tonight, picking up his plate with his cheese toasties, my eldest sighed "I really hope the person who invented this machine lives a long and happy life...they deserve to" so as a mom of picky eaters, I kinda feel obliged to finally leave a review. I know I'm on borrowed time with this hardworking machine as I'm sure he'll be nabbing it when he leaves the nest...but I will definitely buy another! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The toaster worked ok for 6 weeks, and then one of two hinges broke making the appliance useless.I did not abuse it or try to press a too thick sandwich.

I have to say a sandwich maker is like a MUST HAVE in every household. Take your sandwich game up a notch! I do however have a couple negative critiques about this product regarding design flaws. There are ridges around the place where your sandwich goes. So in between the space for your sandwhich and the rest of the hardware, there is a deep ditch. This is especially painful when you're making sandwhich with cheese in it, because it inevitably ends up stuck in the ridge which is both unsanitary and difficult to clean (almost impossible). I have had to keep my sandwhich maker in a top cupboard in hopes that the roaches don't find it. Another design flaw is how deeply the ridges within the sandwhich maker press into the bread. When I was a child I loved the sandwhich maker my parents bought and found it a great way to make myself a quick snack after school. I cannot for the life of me remember what brand it was, but unlike this product, the sandwhich is not cut cleanly after cooking. This means I need the help of a knife to separate both sides of my sandwhich. This is just an extra step for me I wish I could avoid, but for children this is a safety hazard. Children should not need to use a knife to make a grilled cheese. I would suggest looking elsewhere if your main objective is to provide ease for your children.
