Quirky mystery
A quirky light mystery from Alex Erikson. This is the first one I have read although this was not really a problem. It is a humorous and witty read. Krissy, is the amateur sleuth in this story although there is a major focus on her chaotic personal life. She owns the bookstore cafe "Death by Coffee".An enthusiastic Rita has organised meetings of the Pine Hills bookclub and the bookclub competition at the cafe. A rival bookclub member is murdered and Krissy is the last person seen leaving the scene of the crime. As she becomes a suspect, she decides to investigate. The book is well plotted with twists. There is an interesting range of characters. Read this mystery, you will enjoy it. Thanks to Kensington, the publishers for a ebook copy of the book via netgalley.

Great Cozy
I would like to thank NetGalley and Kensington Books for giving me the opportunity to read this in exchange for an honest and open review. When a customer and member of a book club is murdered in her bookshop cafe, Krissy, the owner, finds herself a suspect. She sets out to find the real murderer.I love a good cozy mystery and this one is set around my idea of heaven, a bookshop cafe.I loved Krissy as a character. In fact most of the characters are great fun.I had no idea who the guilty party was until the end. I had a few guesses but as usual I was way off the mark.I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

I was hoping that the second book would be better...hope diminished with reading the first few chapters.
ARC honest review for Kensington Books via Netgalley. This is the second book in the 'Bookstore Cafe' mysteries.I read the first in this series 'Death by Coffee', and I have to say that I wasn't impressed. Mainly that I couldn't get on with the main character Krissy. I found her too erratic, thoughtless and self-centred.I was hoping that the second book would be better...hope diminished with reading the first few chapters. The cover looks great. The synopsis read ok. But unfortunately I found the book lacking.
