Easy for carrying around and work in hard to reach areas. Perfect welder for beginners and enthusiasts because of the feature that avoids the stick to get stuck while starting the weld, I was able to weldmaterials with excellent results, overall this a good welder, if you currently don't have a welding machine this is definitely the best option to own one.

I was very skeptical of such a tiny machine being able to do any welding at all, let alone well, but I was pleasantly surprised.I'm not a pro by any means, but from the few small jobs I've put it through (a ladder rack for my truck, and fabricating some bits for simple furniture), it's actually pretty capable of surprisingly clean, strong welds that seem to go deep. Truly amazed to see something so functional that can run off 110v instead of 220. I wouldn't necessarily try any huge jobs and am not brave enough to attempt structural work on, say, a car frame with it, but that's maybe more a condemnation of my own skill than the device itself. Very satisfied, especially with the price staying as low as it is.

26 years ago I signed up to learn how to weld, but life had other plans for me so I never got to go. Now I have my own little welding machine and enrolled myself into YouTube University to learn how to use it. I haven't actually welded anything yet, I'm still learning the basics and getting to know all the equipment, I really want to be good at this. I've been told that this is a very good machine and if used correctly it can work as well as the bigger models. It fits perfectly into my old belt sander case, with room for the rest of my welding necessities, and it's light enough that I can take it anywhere. I'll try to come back with updates.🙂🙂🙂

I am not a welder but always wanted to learn. Living on a farm, there is always something that need to be tacked back together again so this was the perfect tool for me. It is very simple to operate and very forgiving for a starter. I still have much to learn to get a pretty weld but certainly am getting better.Just a good little welder for a beginner!

Can't beat the price and it's a quality entry level welder. I'm just learning and I think that's just the right price point for me to get started with little risk.

The welder works great, but I'm making sure that it's well fed. My 110V source is a 3500 watt inverter fed by a 200 amp hour gel cell array. It draws a nice bead.The drawback is that I should have had two of these without going through Amazon a couple of months ago. That's about when the first Amazon review showed. I am one of the backers for the Arc130 Kickstarter project. ArcCaptain had an obligation to provide products to the backers first, but we got the middle finger instead. Most haven't received the promised welders even now.If you buy one of these, know that the company does not give a damn about you. Don't expect any support, and treat it like a disposable device.

I have another one of these portable 110v arc welders and love it dearly. This ARCCAPTAIN is no different, packing a lot of oomph in a small package. Welds are surprisingly clean and penetrate well. Leads conduct well and it runs quiet. I love the new technology going into these machines. Can't go wrong with this little powerhouse for under 100 bucks.

Nice little stick welder for light duty tasks. Great for quick fixes on the farm and works very well so far. This welder is very compact in size, but also pretty powerful. Overall the welder is as described, and performs as expected.
