This is a big, solid, metal unit with two fairly heavy gooseneck intake tubes. It does a good job with smoke from a laser engraver.

This performs well for the price. It is a huge upgrade from a smaller table-top fume extractor I used previously. It performs 5 times better for 3 or 4 times the cost of a smaller fume extractor. Quality is good. However, it is difficult to source the filters for this fume extractor. I have found HEPA fume extractor filters on elsewhere that may fit, although they are expensive. You can also probably purchase or DIY the pre-filters. I know the large HEPA filters do last a very long time however so for the cost it's not too big of a concern.

Very effective in removing smoke and vapors. We use it for out DTF printing machines. Love them and very happy with them.

Good for solder fumes, but frequent replacement of a very expensive filtration system makes this a bust if you’re handling a lot of soldering. This system will not filter Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) and definitely not hydrogen cyanide for silver plating. With its singular focus on soldering and not venting to a filter that is outside of the structure, the functionality/cost factor goes way down. Otherwise, it is well built. Plan properly for the materials you intend to work around, and use proper personal protection (PPP) for your application.

was weak and didn't help much/ spend more on a real one, this one feels like a toy

Manufacturer box was new but it was missing the Wide Mouth hose attachment and Amazon makes it difficult to replace it. Bad experience.

Works very well, moves fumes very well.The unit is quite quiet. It is a beast though,and quite heavy. I like that the extract tube is quite long and can be moved anywhere you need it.
