At age 75, I did a once-in-a-lifetime thing and got rid of all my old everyday dinnerware and bought a brand new set. I'm so happy with these dishes. They are beautiful to look at and very sturdy: not one single chip so far. They are not lightweight but that's okay. They go really well with "Provence" style tablecloths. To use with them, I bought this set: Ginkgo International Lyon 20-Piece Stainless Steel Flatware Place Setting, Ivory, and they match perfectly.

I love everything about these dishes. They are my everyday dishes and they look as beautiful today, after multiple runs in the dishwasher as when they first arrived. They are microwaveable, and resist scratching. So happy I purchased them.

I wanted to upgrade our dishes from corelle . Corelle is reliable , but boring and this corelle set no longer matched our decor . These are exactly what I was wanting. They inspire . They make any food item or drink look classic & timeless …. These are for our everyday dishes. Wr are a family of 6, so I will be getting two more sets plus salad bowls.

Absolutely love this set. I was lucky enough to be able to get 2 sets used, but they don't even look or feel it. They feel so sturdy and durable. I got this set for Thanksgiving with my inlaws and my mom, now I'm too excited and want to use it all the time. If anyone is curious, the material is glazed ceramic. (Preface, I studied ceramics in fine art school) the material looks to be a slip cast type; most likely either a very light color stoneware or porcelain/stoneware mix with a glossy food safe glaze inside and out. (Slip cast is clay in liquid form poured into a plaster cast (mold) and left to set up and harden, then fired and glazed) the packaging and the pieces all say on the bottom that they are good for hot temperatures like reheating in the microwave for short periods of time. Good for quick reheats, not long times like defrost or cooking. They are also quite solid, with the clay all the way through. It would take quite some force to break these, as they are not Hollow. (But that doesn't mean they can be dropped on the floor and live to tell lol). Hope all of this helps 😁

The dishes are heavy which makes them very sturdy.

I was able to get this service for 4 (sand the shallow bowls) as they had run out of stock at my local Stein Mart and the separates cost too much. The ivory color works great with the semi-paisley embellishments. My only complaint is that these dishes scratch fairly easily so go easy with your silverware. Other than that, these are great! Not too fancy and not to plain

I originally bought the mugs and loved them so I thought I would love this set. Not so. They were nothing special.
