The Art of Amy Brown

Bought a copy of this book for a friend at work who said she likes Amy Brown's artwork of faery's. I ordered this as a birthday gift and loved it so much I bought a copy for myself. I will buy my friend Amy Brown's second book most likely for Christmas. I am very pleased, this is a large book with very wonderful watercolor artwork and lots of detail. If you buy a copy you will not be disappointed whether it's for yourself or a gift for someone you want to make happy!!

This book made me appreciate watercolors. Amy Brown manipulates the paints into interesting colors and textures which make her paintings come alive. Previously, judging by the cheesy prints and bumperstickers, I thought her drawing was weak and I never really got to appreciate the real beauty of her art. I thought she was overrated, but this book has actually made me realize that she's extremely talented. Every picture is sweet or moving in some way, and tells a story. This book is definately worth owning and looking through when you need inspiration or reference as to how to successfully watercolor.

Beautiful artistry. The use of colors in some are breathtaking. Not an artist that every work looks the same. Huge variety, shows creativity and vision. A wonderful book to add to a collection. Can be used as a coffee table book as well as one my granddaughters love to look through.

I just bought this book used a couple of weeks back, and I absolutely love it! The artwork is amazing. I hadn't looked much into Amy Brown's work until recently, always being most taken by Jessica Galbreth's older works. Now I am definitely hooked :) I absolutely recommend this to any and all lovers of fantasy art, you will not be disappointed!

If you're a lover of the realm of Faerie, this is the book you've been looking for. It's exactly what it is advertised as being. Check out the author's website ahead of time and if you dig her art, this book is full of large beautifully rendered images.

A beautiful and thought provoking collection of pictures! I highly enjoyed the read and intend to show it off to whomsoever should show an interest. Amy Brown is a well known faery artist with a knack for inspiring deep contemplation over even the smallest of pieces. If you like fantasy art, you really should own this book!

I have one Amy Brown tattoo already, and had an idea for another - 3 of her fairies hanging out on my arm and was looking to see which ones I wanted. Unfortunately, I saw a photo of someone else's back tattoo of the same idea so I abandoned it. Still nice pictures to look at though.

As an author, I am always keen to look at ways of illustrating my work. After I wrote a story about the Elfin Stone, from the Icelandic legend, I wanted to find the perfect picture to illustrate it. I didn't, and ended up having a go myself, which was both enjoyable and comical. What I did get from my journey was a beautiful coffee table book to flick through and admire. Amy Brown, I salute your talent. Highly recommended.

Amazing art work. Amy Brown has to be one of the best artists of fairies and dragons. My only grumble is that the majority of her work is only available in the U.S.A.

wonderful book. Full of gorgeous illustrations, all full size. Lose yourself in a wonderful world of beautiful fantasy. Every time you look at a picture you'll see something different.

Charakteristisch für die Feen von Amy Brown sind die geringelten Kniestrümpfe und das farblich passende Korsett.Der vorliegende Band umfaßt ca. 150 Großdrucke auf Hochglanzpapier, daher kommen auch die leuchtenden Farben und die Details der Zeichnungen gut zum Ausdruck.
