The plastic mold used is quite detailed even on the underside. The plastic used is thick enough to stay a solid white and heavy enough to not allow flexing. A spring is screwed in place just behind the teeth allowing the jaw to open. This is easily removed if you wish.As stated, the size is About 4" wide, 4" high, and 5" long. It reminds me of a shrunken head size.

The skull is reasonably accurate and the small size makes it easy to carry around. I got it to practice drawing the skull at all angles and it’s more convenient than a real skull with all the fleshy bits and brain chunks attached.

It has a great size the weight is very nice it's very little The value for the money is wonderful. It's a top quality, it's appearance is like a miniature human skull. AS occupational therapy flunks biology and anatomy twice in college I know what the human skull looks like. It's versatile they use it first as a forensic science report. In high school then they use it on the final. Then the high schooler uses it for the fun of it just to have a mini human skull sitting on her shelf How fun is that.

Help so much with studying for anatomy

I've had an interest in anatomy for many years. Currently, I've been interested in anatomy as it pertains to art. This small but accurate depiction of a human skull is a good tool to use as a model for that purpose. It can be used in many educational demonstrations.The materials are plastic and some springs keeping the jaw attached. The mouth can open and close; although, the springs holding the jaw are a bit stiff. I think the skull durable enough that it won't crack or break too easily.I think this is a good addition to my human anatomy collection. When I'm not using it as a model, it makes a cool decoration. It's priced well. It's detailed enough to show the intricacies of the bones. The top of the head pops off too. Unsure why. Maybe you could stick a small brain in there for a bonus learning experience. Either way, I recommend this if you're looking for an affordable model of a skull.
