I purchased this lock to allow me to open my back garden gate from the outside, without worrying about keys.It fills that need perfectly.The lock itself is easy to install but, the instructions themselves aren't great.Be sure to read them twice, before you try offering up the lock to the door & frame.Important to have the right size spade bits before starting the job.The lock itself is good quality and whilst it's early days, it should stand up well to the Irish weather.

The XFORT Digital Door Lock has been a great addition to my garage door! While the installation was a bit of a puzzle (the instructions could definitely be clearer), I’m very pleased with the quality and performance so far. It’s sturdy, reliable, and gives me peace of mind knowing my garage is secure. Once I figured out the setup, it’s been smooth sailing. Overall, a solid keypad lock that’s worth the effort!

Purchased the lock, good and sturdy however it's not locking/securing my door. I've put in the security number it came with but it seems to not lock me out of the room. Please advise concerned customer 🥴

Great locks, stylish

A really robust, high quality of manufacture combination lock.Probably not a job for a novice diy'er, but if you have fitted a mortice type lock previously it should not present any major issues.The combination needs to be changed from the rear of the mechanism so it must be done prior to fitting or else it will have to be removed to change it post-install.I intend using this for my side gate. this is the route that I bring my dog after walking in inclement weather . It has a bolt with a combination lock on the inside which isn't of any use when returning from walkies, so I have to remember to unlock and unbolt the gate prior to my walk, but often forget, which is a real pain.This lock will facilitate keeping the gate secure until my return whereupon I will be able to easy unlock from the front of the house safe in the knowledge that it is resceured behind me automatically when I lose it.I haven't had a free day where it hasn't been raining to fit it as yet, however I have dry tested it and can report that the mechanism is of good quality and opertes as expected. The code input is easy and effective. Probably not the highest of security but sufficient to prevent opportunists entering the side and rear of my house without having additional issues to contend with.£36.99 at the time of my review, I'm not sure if this represents value as Im not aware of the price of alternatives, but for the quality and convenience it offers is certainly worthy of consideration in my opinion.

Haven’t fitted yet but I intend to fit this lock to a tall side gate that leads to the garden from the front of the house. Currently the gate is secured by a bolt on the back so this will make opening the gate from the front a lot more convenient.It’s a sturdy heavy lock that feels very well made so gives confidence that it is secure and will last. I fitted a very similar lock a few years back and it’s something any competent DIY’er could tackle without too much difficulty – just take your time. The included template is extremely useful in getting the holes required drilled in the correct position on the door.Setting the combination code is a bit fiddly but simple enough – just remember it has to be done with the lock removed from the door, so best to get that done first. It’s worth bearing in mind that the code set is not sequential, this is very typical of this type of lock, as an example - say you choose 1234Z as your combination then any variation of that will open the lock - for example 4Z321,234Z1 and so on. Because of that it might be an idea to check occasionally if any wear or marks can be seen on the chosen code buttons and change the code to prevent an opportunist simply pressing on buttons that show signs of use. Also, if when entering your code the lock doesn’t seem to work – just press the ‘C’ button to clear and reset the key pad first.The lock and back plate are very nicely finished in a matt black and the digits are engraved into the casting and painted white so should withstand a fair bit of wear and tear.This is a very nicely made lock that also looks very smart, it definitely feels solid and built to last – recommend.

Quality as expected.Easy to install

We have a shared cleaners cupboard that all the cleaning equipment is kept in and is accessed by a few people, but we need to keep control over it as items were being taken and used then not replaced. Having this lock means we can control access easily without having to issue keys to people which would be a nightmare to control, and if access is needed in an emergency it can be provided quickly.
