Use the thicker oil on springs/locks, and the thinner on the main pivot/bearings, and you're golden.

I would describe this as a wet/dry lube, it's a pretty thin viscosity at first, and dries into a residue about 12 hours after application. If used on any sort of knife with rapid deployment, I.E. flippers etc. it can get messy because like i mentioned, it's thin, and it's also red in color. As far as the actual lubrication provided, it's the definition of "mid". In my personal opinion the best use for this stuff would be for knives you're planning on putting in storage. It sets up into a residual coating, won't get all over your storage container after it dries, provides some lubrication, and should protect metal from pitting. If you're looking to apply this to ceramic bearings, or blade coatings consider this a "1 star review". It's also hard to clean this stuff off of a PVD coating. The lube i had before this stuff was "Benchmark's Blue Lube" it cost more, but a bottle should last you 5+ years unless you're drinking the stuff (don't). It's an easy "5 star" product.
