SEI Furniture Bench and Storage Rack, Black Textured Powder-Coat

i almost returned this item! im so glad i didnt. it came very well packaged. for as light as it is, you would think it would bealot more wobbly, but it wasnt. it's very sturdy! you can hang several coats on it. and the cushion it comes w/ is almost likememory foam. it's very comfortable. it was also pretty simple to put together. some of the pieces were a little difficult to screw in.it was a little hard to line up the screws to fit the holes, so i had to finagle it a little bit, but i've put enough of these together that itwas no big deal! the top shelf is nice bec i can just throw my purse there or use the hangers. this is a very nice and versatilecoat rack!

I put it together last night in about 50 minutes.Not hard to put tiogether.The size is just perfect for the small entry way into the laundry room.I can sit on it, take off shoes, hang up my coat , and hat.Put shoes on lower rack. Nice, neat and tidy.I can also set clothes on it coming out of dryer.\Or if carrying grocery bag or a package. I can set it on it, while I lock door behind me.It suits me just fine. Looks fine and is functional.It seems to be well made and will last a long time.

Well packaged and arrived in perfect shape. Easy to assemble. While having a second person would have been helpful, it wasn't difficult to do it alone. The main issue I had while assembling was that there were 2 places where the channels had little metal bumps that did not allow the part from the other side to slide in properly so the holes for the screws would not align. I didn't have anything on hand to file it down, so used a flat head screw driver to keep pushing at it, then kept trying to pushing the parts into place. Finally managed to get it in and get it set up. Without that last bit, I would have been done in under an hour. Yeah I could have called in for a replacement, but I really wanted to finish it. :)Finish is good. Feels sturdy when I sit on it to wear shoes. If I push the back part, it sways back - I have it against a wall so that's not a problem for me. Some others have mentioned an odor, and I was a bit concerned about that before I ordered. I'm happy to report that mine did not have a noticeable odor.

I love this coat rack! It's perfect for the space I needed to put it in. I put it together pretty easily, just laid out all the parts and followed the instructions. It seems secure. I love all the hooks and the racks for storage. The only thing I'd complain about is that the seat cushion is really hard, but considering the rack is perfect in every other way the cushion is something I can live with.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this product!!!This was super easy to assemble in an hour or less. It is very nice looking and super functional. This was definitely worth the investment because it allows a person to place their hat, coat and/or purse right at the door's entryway and take off shoes while sitting comfortably. And it doesn't require attaching anything to a wall! We move every few years so this was perfect for us as we can take it with us without leaving holes in the wall!! It also fits in a narrow entryway very well, conserving what little space there may be.My only complaint was that it came with a very strong odor. I imagine it has to do with whatever was brushed on the metal. Initially it made me feel really sick, like my heart racing and head aching, but I wiped it all down and let it air out for a few days and it was much improved. Within a month, I think the smell was no longer detectable.Also, be sure to check that all the little knobs connected to the coat hooks are still attached before you throw the box away. Since attaching them was not part of the assembly instructions, I didn't notice that one was missing before I threw the box away!

One bolt hole was not drilled at the seat level. Luckily, at that point there are supposed to be two bolts on each side, so one missing is not affecting the bench being held together. It still seems quite sturdy. Nice thickly cushioned seat. And I like the large coat hangers - easy to fit two coats to each hook.

I was looking for a coat hanger to place in my entryway and stumbled upon this. I really like that it had a bench, as we take our shoes off before we go upstairs, especially in the winter. Yes, it did require assembly. I suggest having a handheld power drill on hand. (many thanks, to my $9 rechargable drill from ikea) It really made the job a lot easier. I screwed most of the screws in with that and then tightened them with the little wrench that was included with the parts. I did have some leftover screws and that's always concerning but I think they give you a few extras just in case? (maybe?) Regardless, this was surprisingly sturdy and looked really nice once it was all put together. I'm so happy that we finally have a place to hang our coats, they're no longer draped over our kitchen chairs!

We had a 24” space behind the entrance door and no front door coat closet. This rack and bench fit our downsized condo perfectly. There are hooks perfect for coats, jackets, hats and scarves. There is a shelf on top for hats and purses. There is an open shelf on the bottom for shoes or boots and a sturdy bench to sit on to remove or put on footwear. Lastly, there was a heat vent in that space so since the shoe rack is open, it does not block the heat. We couldn’t be happier. It was a bit confusing putting it together and definitely took 2 people to accomplish that. However it was well worth it.
