Lids snap on snug, no worries about them falling off. Easy to write on. Strong enough to stack several high in the freezer. I use these containers mostly for meals I take to work-- breakfast, snacks and lunch, all prepared and refrigerated the evening before.I sometimes re-use the containers for dry snacks like chips or dry cereal. I heat my breakfast and lunch in the microwave-- like eggs for breakfast and braised vegetables for lunch-- in the containers. They're fine to eat from in a casual environment.They'd be good for holding dessert items, too. When I make homemade ice cream, I freeze it in the 8 oz size.I don't use them for very liquid foods, like soup. The container itself wouldn't leak, but I think the lid might not be tight enough to form a leakproof seal for liquid if my lunch bag was upside down.I also use them for picnics. Handy serving sizes and portion allocation.

I use these for frozen dog treats, but they could have many possible uses. Nice size and good quality. Stack easily in freezer. I can wash and reuse if the dog doesn't chew them up.
