I ran two bulbs in 1/2 basement for 15 minutes and it took my breath. Do not look at this light for even an instant. However, I was aware of this but be careful.

Every basement needs one Cleans the air of all mold smell and spores

I had a leak in my basement and a moldy smell ever since despite a dehumidifier being installed. I tried everything - bleach, vinegar, peroxide - nothing worked to keep the smell away permanently until I found this. It really does work and was super affordable too! The bulbs never burnt out despite leaving them on for extended periods.

Ozone is toxic to breathe in. You don't want this in your house unless it is on a timer, and you are out of the house. It will take many hours to fully vent the ozone out of your home after using this. If you choose to only partially vent it, then it could irritate your lungs and cause health issues. To combat all of this, I have mine set up in the basement, with a 'timed cycle' timer. I have it set to go on for 2 minutes, and off for 1 hour. That cycle is a low enough dose that the ozone is used up before reaching the upstairs. It has successfully killed off the basement mold smell. If you plan to use this indoors, please make sure you either use a very short dose, or that you fully vent the ozone gas out of the house after treatment. Enjoy.

I am absolutely unsatisfied with this product. This was a total disaster as soon as you turn on the light, it emits a very intense and synthetic smell that does not smell healthy at all my eyes are burning for just being around the bulb on. My whole house smells like burnt gas if you can imagine!

I'm not using these as germicidal lamps, I'm using them cuz they annoy the heck out of the cockroaches. They stay in hiding while these are on. But you should too, as the UV-C light is very bad for the eyes and the skin and the ozone can aggravate asthma and cause breathing problems. According to some research I read, the ozone greatly reduces the virility of the roaches but I can't say that I've seen any long term reduction in numbers.

They easily break

One can smell the ozone within minutes. Everything will smell like a swimming pool or sauna after a short time. It does get rid of mold or other smells, at least temporarily.
