Did not work for portable monitor
Did you know that pretty much all HDMI<->HDMI cables are bidirectional (ie; doesn't matter which side you plug into the source vs. destination), but nearly all HDMI<->USB-C cables are unidirectional (ie; one end is for the source of the video, while the other is for the destination/display)? It turns out that USB-C to HDMI are common, but HDMI to USB-C is not. That is because most monitors have HDMI as an input, not USB-C, so the cables are meant to have the USB-C end plugged in the PC (source) and the HDMI end plugged into the monitor (Destination/Display). Portable monitors, on the other hand, often just have USB-C ports for power and input, and no HDMI ports. In my case, my laptop only has one USB-C thunderbolt port, which I need for a hub to plug all of my other periferal devices in (thumb drive, ring light, webcam, external speaker, etc.). Therefore, I could only use the HDMI port on either my hub or my laptop to attach my portable monitor. This requires either a bidirectional HDMI<->UCB-C cable, or a unidirectional "HDMI to USB-C", which is the opposite of most cables on the marketplace.I chose this cable because it CLEARLY states that it is unidirectional "HDMI to USB-C", and it even has a picture of the usage (HDMI end plugs into PC, and USB-C end plugs into the monitor). The video travels FROM the PC (HDMI) *TO* the monitor (USB-C). It also states that it must be a direct connection (ie. not through a hub), so it didn't surprise me when plugging the HDMI end into my hub didn't work (no ding for that). However, even when I plug the HDMI end directly to the PC, it DOES NOT WORK (see pic). This cable is clearly a dud. Sigh...

Works absolutely perfect for my needs.
Trying to connect the HI-DEF HDMI *OUTPUT* of a 4K NVR to a spare USB C video INPUT port on my monitor. Most of these cables don't work BECAUSE THE BUYER DID NOT READ THE DESCRIPTION! This is for HDMI OUT to USB-C IN whereas the vast majority of (the much lower priced) others are for USB-C OUT of a computer to HDMI IN of a monitor (reverse of what I am doing). This does require power to the cable which is received from a USB-A male connector on the cable. I plugged the USB cable into a spare port on a powered USB hub and it worked fine. You can also use a USB Wall power block I'm sure. The adapter runs lightly warm to the touch which is not a problem.

If your trying to convert Old USB-A to new USB-C this is perfect
The media could not be loaded. I got this product because my laptop for work only has USB type A’s, and most portable monitors only have USB type C’s. This HDMI splitter with a USB type an and type C solved my problem!5/5!

Broke in less than 8 months and does not actually use HDMI Input
TLDR: The cable no longer works after 8 months of regular use, DOES NOT utilize the HDMI port input for portable monitors, and would often disconnect if I plugged any other usb device into my laptop.I purchased this cable to use for my laptop when I'm on the go and need my portable monitor. My portable monitor had some picture quality issues when using the usb c and when I saw this cable would utilize the hdmi port for video input I got it immediately. Received it in June, it worked great however when I plugged it in I noticed that it wasn't utilizing the HDMI port at all (my pc still recognized it as a generic usb device and not as an HDMI input device). I didn't mind because the picture was better so I used it. Well after only having the cable for 8 months, this morning when I plugged it in absolutely nothing worked. To trouble shoot I used the original cable my portable monitor came with and it worked fine. Personally I would avoid this if you truly want the HDMI quality.

iPhone 13 to Rokid AR
Successfully connected my iPhone 13 to my Rokid glasses (along with Apple lightening to HDMI adapter). Worked with wall power or a power bank as I intend to be mobile with this setup to get work done without a laptop. I wish the power cord was longer when plugged in the wall, but it is perfect with a power bank on the table or your bag, so that’s a trade off.First cable that worked to do this and decent price.

Works like a charm
This HDMI to USB-C cable is a real winner! I use it to connect my Xreal glasses to my PC, and it works like a charm. No display or audio issues whatsoever.I can power my Xreal glasses directly from my PC using this cable. It's sturdy and reliable, and I haven't had any problems with it.This cable is perfect for any HDMI-enabled devices that don't support USB-C DP alt mode. If you need a solid connection solution, this cable is the way to go!
