CERTIFIED: Many products claim to be organic, but we have a proven track record. These bags have been certified organic cotton meaning they fit strict criteria in regards to the ratio of organic fibers, and all chemical modifications (such as dyes) must meet exacting standards. You're getting bags that have been certified as being only the highest quality in organic products. GUARANTEED: We're confident that we offer only the highest quality organic bags on the market and that you'll fall in love with them the first time you use them. However if you are for some reason unsatisfied with your order we offer a quick, easy, and hassle-free 100% money back guarantee. Refrigerators are designed to dehumidify the air to prevent frost buildup. This isn't a problem for most of the things you store in your refrigerator, such as bottles of milk. However this drying-out process can be detrimental to produce such as lettuce or cucumbers, which need humidity to stay fresh. Our organic cotton muslin bags are just the solution you need: simply dampen them when you put produce in the refrigerator. The bag's construction means your produce will still be able to breathe, and the dampness will extend the freshness of your produce by days. SAVE PLASTIC: Using plastic or paper bags from grocery stores creates waste that will just end up in a landfill, so use these bags when you go shopping. They're lightweight and easy to carry, and the tare weight is displayed right on the label so your checkout experience will be quick and easy every time.WASHABLE: These bags are washable so they can re-used. You can easily put them in a laundry and wash it off clean.

BAGS SHRINK AFTER WASHING to about HALF their original size.
I ordered 6 EXTRA LARGE bags. While they are well made and the cotton is wonderful, they shrunk to about HALF their size after cold washing and line drying. I think the company making these should use pre-washed cotton before making these. For those considering to buy, buy the LARGER sized bags knowing they will shrink. I think this unfair of the manufacturer to charge more for the larger bags that end up being smaller after washing.

Great for avoiding a pile of plastic produce bags after a trip to the market
I have been using these types of bags for many years, for no better reason than to avoid more plastic produce bags going to the recycle bin. Over time, I have learned that a secondary benefit is that cotton bags will absorb a lot of the excess moisture from the supermarket "freshness mister" if I leave produce in the bags overnight in the refrigerator. (Why must stores drown the produce?)I got these because one of my regular produce buys is bundles of mustard greens, which are a favorite part of my parakeet flock's diet. These are the largest cotton bags I have ever seen for sale, so it was an easy sale. One thing I suggest is to not try washing these in a machine as that seems to encourage shrinking. What I do is fill the sink with lukewarm-on-the-cool-side water with a scoop of OxiClean powder and soak them for a half-hour, then refill the sink with clean water and let them sit another half-hour. I can clean all of my bags at the same time and they stay in their original proportions.

I love my new organic muslin bags
I love my new organic muslin bags. The only two issues I have with these is that 1) they shrunk even though I washed them in cold water and air dried them. I encourage the company to pre-shrink the material before sewing the bags so that this problem doesn't occur. 2) The XL bags that I ordered on the next bag order I made, are still too small for large bunches of things like kale and chard. I requested that the company produce an XXL bag to accommodate larger bunches of produce, but the company was not receptive to this idea

does not preserve food better than a plastic bag
works as a storage bag. well made and serm durable. no funny odors. its a good size for cabbage or potatoe batches.i was hoping to use them to replace plastic bags to store veggies and fruits. However after a day of use for cabbage, it didnt absorb the natural moist and caused molds. Here are list of my experiments:molding or rotten- cabbage, broccoli, veggies with leavesok - potatoes, carrots, tomatoes and those with less moist on the sirface

Keeps Produce Fresh
These Reusable Organic Cotton Vegetable Bags replace the ones I bought from a catalog about 20+ years ago. There is nothing else that I've tried that will keep produce crisp and fresh like cotton bags.To make them more efficient, place your washed produce in a bag and run cold water over it. Let it drain until the bag is quite wet, but not dripping. Put it in the refrigerator and it will keep your veggies fresh for many, many days. I recently used a bag to store celery (something we eat infrequently). Now, more than two weeks later, it's still crisp and edible. These bags come in different sizes for various needs. For example, a larger one will hold lettuce and carrots and smaller ones will do for peppers, mushrooms, etc. There are two notes for you to consider:First, the bags seem to have been treated with a coating similar to starch or sizing. That prevents water from easily soaking into them. Wash the bags first before using them to get rid of the coating. Water then permeates them for keeping your produce fresh.Second, If your veggies are in your fridge long enough for the cotton bag to dry out, simply run it (and its contents) under the water. Allow it to stop dripping and replace it in your refrigerator. When the bag is emptied, simply wash it with your towels, dry it and it's ready for use again. While you are initially spending money on these bags, in the long run, you will save because your food will stay fresher and last much longer.I hope this helps you to decide if these bags will be useful to you.

These really work...I'm buying more!
I am always trying to reduce plastic use, and also get really annoyed when produce goes bad before it gets eaten, so I decided to give these bags a try. THEY ARE AWESOME! I had tried other types before, such as the mesh bags, which didn't work at all (produce wrinkled and dried up in them faster than they would have gone bad in plastic bags. These bags kept mushrooms, zucchini, apples, carrots--everything I put in them--fresh for an entire week, plus some. The mushrooms (which I like to buy in bulk) did not get slimy, but also did not dry up; after 6 days, they were still white inside when cut up. I am ordering another set, and also ordering for family members as gifts. I'm happy also that when they do get dirty (although they haven't yet), I'll be able to wash them, hang dry, and use again. Thank you for a great product!

Overall Good Quality- incomplete set delivered
Overall pretty pleased with these bags, the reason for 2 star review is that there were no medium bags included, only large and small. They are sturdy and durable overall, only very much miss the medium option.****UPDATE****Washed once in cold water, line dry and these SHRUNK. The large bags are now the size of the smalls before wash and the smalls are too small for most any vegetable.

Great product
I ended up purchasing a net version of this because I didn’t like that I couldn’t see whats in the bags. 5 stars because the product is great and my preference has nothing to do with the product itself :)
