Reliable dive case and extra thoughts on Insta
I took this dive case on my trip to Mexico, and it worked perfectly as designed. The dive case did kept my Insta360 X4 safe and dry, allowing me to capture stunning underwater footage. The waterproof design is reliable, and the materials feel durable. The fit is snug and is easy to use. It held up well during my diving and snorkeling adventures. However, I wish it were cheaper, as I haven't used it much outside of bringing it into the water when needed. If you’ve just bought the Insta360, you might want to consider returning it and getting a GoPro instead. That way, you’re not spending extra money on add-ons like this dive case. Overall, its a good add-on if you have it, but I highly recommend not getting the Insta360 due to the add-ons you'll have to buy.Dive case - I give it 5 starsInsta - I give it a 4 star, because I don't want to keep buying add-ons

Fragile
The outer plasticy coating is extremely delicate. It will nick.

Pretty good, could still improve
Pretty good, but very easy to scratch you need to be extremely careful. With the case its good for underwater but bad for above water use, so it almost feels like you need two cameras, if you want both above and underwater shots at the same time, like I did watching grey whale from a boat.

First time doing underwater footage: worked great!
Since I couldn't bring my normal camera with me for this, I decided to get the Dive Case for my Insta360 X4. I shot a few hours of footage with it and it worked great. Things I did not realize:1. Even though the X4 is "waterproof" (but don't try it; endless stories of people getting their cameras ruined that way), it won't work for 360 video underwater. It will not stitch correctly.2. With the Dive Case, you have to select "Dive Case Mode." There are two settings -- above water and under water. This adjusts the stitching. I accidentally left my camera in the wrong stitching mode and shot a bunch of footage the next day, but you can easily change that later from the Insta360 Desktop app.3. Dive Case mode not only means different stitching, but it changes the buttons. This case has two button that touch the side of the camera. In "Dive Case" mode, you have no access to the touch screen, but you can use the buttons to power on/off, start/stop recording, and toggle through basic modes. It worked great!4. The selfie stick will be invisible! That surprised me. I expected it to show up, but it works basically like the camera does above water.5. The stitch line can be more visible, as the case catches light differently. Hold the camera with the lenses pointed sideways, instead of up (towards the surface) for better results. Lesson learned.I look forward to my next underwater adventure with this thing.

Best case for x4
Offers the best protection combined with best results for the 360 camera lenses being enclosed.

Protection With Great Quality
The media could not be loaded. I was a little skeptical about spending $100 on a dive case for an already waterproof camera, but that separation from the stock lenses really adds to the clarity of the underwater image. It only allows me to add one video here, but I have so many great shots of sea life from our mini-moon trip using this case with the X4!

Terrible Design: Insta360 Dive Case Fails Instantly
I’m on my third Insta360 X4 Invisible Dive Case, and it's been nothing but a frustrating, expensive mistake. This case is absurdly sensitive; one minor scratch and your footage is ruined because it shows up in every single video. For something meant for an action camera, it's unbelievably fragile. As a freediver, I regret ever buying an Insta360 because, without a reliable dive case, the camera is useless to me.To make matters worse, when one of my cases started leaking, customer service told me to return my camera instead of addressing the faulty case, which was completely nonsensical. I've now lost two cases to scratches and one to flooding, and after dealing with their poor support, I've had enough. Save yourself the frustration; do not buy an Insta360. Go with DJI or the tried-and-true GoPro instead.
