Hello, We pair our cups with shorts based on average sizing of age group. All of our adult sizes are paired with a large cup as the large cup is intended for males 15+ years of age. Our Youth XL Compression shorts are paired with an adult medium cup which is intended for ages 10 to 14. The size chart shows which size cup the short will come with.
