Not 100% stainless steel.
Well made. The lock mechanism is not stainless steel. I'm using it in a mailbox, so I hope it stands up to the weather. Time will tell.

Buyer beware - No stainless steel collar ring included!
I'm going to double up what austinite said in their review. The lock is not what is described or pictured on here on Amazon. There is no stainless steel collar ring and it is a three position lock. I ordered it specifically for the collar ring. I requested a return like austinite when I found that the one I ordered did not have one in the bag. Today I received the replacement and it also did not include the stainless steel collar ring. I'll be returning this one as well. Buyer beware!

Not what is pictured or described
The lock is not what is described or pictured on the website. There is no collar ring and it is a three position lock. It gets one star because it is not what is described. I returned it and was sent an identical item for replacement. With Amazon support the numbers on what I received matches the fullfillment numbers. It is just the wrong item. Buyer beware.

If the collar is missing it is no longer a security lock..
I ordered this twice and neither time did the order come with the stainless steel collar. Additionally, both times they had the same keying which is either an amazing coincidence or there are an awful lot of locks keyed the same out there..
