How that is justifiable I really don't know.I would not recommend this chair to anyone under 6 feet in height. It strikes me as a recliner that probably worked okay until the nylon swivel mechanism was attached to the base, which raises the whole thing up by at least an inch and throws the ergonomics right out. I'm five eleven and at one point during lockdowns was over 16 stone and I struggle to make the chair swivel and have to really push hard to get it to recline and when it does it feels like it's constantly trying to push itself back into the upright position.I bought this to replace a different make and design on which the leather had discoloured and split within about eighteen months and I'm afraid this looks like it'll be the same. The back of the back rest and undersides are plastic not real leather and although the real leather where you sit feels nice and soft it doesn't feel any thicker or better quality than the last, £200 cheaper, one, which had the advantage of being much more comfortable than this. As for the colour, well it's nothing like the picture being a more pale sandy yellow. Comfortwise, I find the springs in the seat quite firm, so not that comfortable, and it has the look and feel of an old fashioned car seat, circa the 1960's. As others have said, the headrest pushes your head forwards, which is much more uncomfortable than my last chair. Finally, the swivel mechanism is just a nylon/plastic ring which is attached to the base of the chair with a few metal guides for it to travel through so swivelling the chair is anything but smooth and easy and virtually impossible on a wooden floor without shoes or slippers on and even then a real effort. Luckily I was not disappointed. I'm a big guy, 6'3\" and this chair swallows me up. It's really big and comfortable. The colour was bit different from the photo. Mine is more of a yellowy beige which I like anyway. I'm very pleased and would highly recommend it.I did have a minor problem with the base and contacted Morris Living direct. They were very helpful and got it sorted. I have had it about three weeks now. It seems well made and is comfortable although the arms could be padded a little more. It is quite large and that is good in my view. The box is enormous and unpacking took place outside. I separated the parts and tilted the back (as when lying down in the chair) to straighten it a bit so it would go through the front door more easily. The door is about 26” wide. It went in without too much trouble. So, all in all, it seems a good buy.The reason that I felt I was taking a chance is that I have a “Mayfair” chair from the same importer, “Global Furniture Alliance” (NOT FROM THIS SELLER). The Mayfair’s wooden base broke after about a year and GFA said it was discontinued and a new base could not be purchased. So I was a little distrustful of the importer not of this seller. It seemed to me that a new base should be obtainable for a one year old chair. However, I think the punt has paid off and I have a good, comfortable chair once more. As it only arrived a couple of hours ago I cannot testify as to its durability, but it seems substantial although some of the finishing is a tad off. We looked at and tried our quite a few, some costing more than 4 times the price of this one, and to be honest I couldn't see how the price difference was arrived at, I suppose only time will tell. And as for comfort, I only gave 4 stars because it has yet to be broken in.
