Works for younger cats, older cats might take issue
I have one young cat (over one years old) and two senior cats. The young one LOVES this brush - he doesn't mind the slight whistle sound the steam makes, but I tend to brush him without that at first to get him used to the silicone brushes and then I turn the steam on. After a minute I turn the steam off again, so this method might be useful for persnickety fur babies. My senior cats don't mind this brush overall but it still depends on what kind of cat you have, for example, my long-haired cat loves it and my short-haired cat is afraid of it on most days. It certainly helps gather loose fur even if some still floats in the air and I'd recommend it as helpful grooming tool!

Could be great
Might be great, but cat doesn't like it yet. I'm still hopeful.

Mist, not steam, but handy
First, the wording in the description isn't quite accurate (but that's a good thing). This won't heat up and eject steam (as in, boiling water gas) at your hand or your pet; that would be dangerous. This brush isn't a heater at all, it's a mister that just blows a steady jet of mist (humidity) from when you press the button to turn it on, till you turn it off. It's great for helping weigh down the light, floating fur that sheds off fine-coated pets when they're brushed. My cat HATES the sound that the mist makes, so I have to have other sounds playing to cover the noise, and start by brushing him with it off. Doubtless over time he will get used to it, but for now he thinks it's hissing at him and he just runs away. The dog has no such concerns and doesn't mind being brushed with the mister blowing.

Works, But Charging Cable is Iffy.
Out of the box, I had a hard time getting the charging cable inserted into the brush to charge it up before using it. I'm not sure why they used an older-style charger instead of the USB-C found on virtually everything else. I'm sure I have an older cable of this type somewhere, but it would have been nice to be able to use this with one of my more readily available USB-C chargers. Besides being hard to plug into the device, it's so short that it's almost laughable. Once you do get it plugged in, the indicator light to tell you it's charging is so faint that you would need to be in a dark room to see it. It shuts off when the device is fully charged, not that you'll notice!I got the avocado-shaped brush which is a cute design, fits in my hand well, and is easy to keep a grip on. It performs as well as another brush of this type that I have, and my cats both love being groomed by it, which is why I'm still giving it 4 stars despite the charging issues. The bristles are soft but firm and do a good job of hanging onto *most* of the fur, although some does still fly away. If you use the brush regularly, this becomes less of a problem. The water in the reservoir lasts a long time, and often the battery runs out before the reservoir is empty, but it doesn't take long to recharge. Since my cats like being groomed by this type of misting brush so much, I just recharge after each grooming session. It's also why I have more than one.I haven't had any trouble so far with the steam outlet clogging with hair, but the effectiveness of the mist seems to depend on the orientation of the brush and it comes out better in some positions than others. If your pet is shedding, expect to have to peel the fur off at regular intervals or the mist becomes a bit useless. It puts out a good amount of mist, just enough to dampen the fur, but it's not going to drench it or make your pet uncomfortable, which is especially important if you're using it with cats. I think one of the reasons my cats like it so much is because it's probably akin to being groomed by another cat. That makes it a great tool for bonding with your cat.All in all, this is a handy grooming device. I'm not sure about the longevity, but since these are relatively inexpensive, I'm not going to fret too much about that. This won't necessarily replace regular more intense grooming (depending on what kind of pet you have and their fur situation), but if you use it regularly, it might. During periods of heavy shedding, I still revert to my grooming vacuum just because it captures all that flyaway fur and makes less of a mess, and then I use this as a finishing brush. This is a low-cost solution for grooming that most pets are likely to enjoy, will help keep fur-laden dust bunnies from overtaking your house, and will facilitate a bonding experience with your pet. Hard to fault any of that!

Perfect for all my furry friends
I have 4 cats and 4 dogs. The different coats can be a nightmare to manage. They all love our Flymind Cat Steam Brush. I have 3 shorthair cats and 1 floof. This device does well on any coat. I like the soft bristles and so do they. The dogs range from short hair to fluffy to wiry. All the animals hate any kind of metal comb or brush. The large soft bristles along with the gentle steam help keep them all well groomed and happy. I have a very large Irish Wolfhound. His coat is more hair like than fur. I add a touch of detangler to the reservoir and it makes his hair very soft and manageable. This is a great brush for daily use and the gentle steam is perfection. My fur babies were spoiled before, but now they are on a whole new level of spoiled. This is a great product!

Small and oddly shaped
I was hoping that the silicone bristles for this oddly shaped brush would be as good as one I already have, but it's not. The one I have seems to be able to brush off a lot of the fine under-coat hair on my cat. This one does not. This brush is too small, so if you want a small brush, here you go. I don't understand the spraying thing, and the brush never charged up, so I couldn't test that. My cat would probably not be too happy with that feature anyway.

Cute but cat is iffy
The media could not be loaded. I charged this out of the box and it didn't take long.Fill it with water and push the button on top and the steam will automatically start.I was testing it and I put cold water in it and it steamed cold. Ok.I tried brushing one cat but he ran off. I got another but it didn't last long. I was able to brush him a few times and then felt his fur. It was wet but not drenched or anything. He ran off shortly thereafter. The brush makes a hissing noise when it's on which is loud enough for the cats to notice and know I'm up to no good.I don't think my cats will take to it, although it's a really good idea. You can add soap AND water, so do you have to wash then rinse? Hmmmm.I'm taking it to the TNR facility this weekend to try on the other cats. It's a bit noisy there so maybe that will disguise the hissing sound.
