This is one of those weather Montessori toys that are cute enough to have out. I really like the colors and matériels. It’s a little bit challenging for my almost 2 year old to use, but we purchased this knowing it would be advanced for her. Happy that it is durable, as we expect her to get better at the motor skills required to use this, and I’m very excited for her to use the pattern cards once we get the basic mechanics down. Love the size, easy to grab on the go. It has joined us on many plane rides.

I really like the pattern cards that came with this. The magnet could be a little stronger. There is a clip to attach the cards, but it is flimsy plastic. I simply replaced it with a metal ring. For the price, I was very pleased with the quality. It is educational, self-regulating and good for fine motor.

I had such high hopes for this being a great car toy for my 4 and 2 year old. They love this type of toy and I love that all the pieces are contained, but I'm glad I tried it out before giving it to them. The square shaped magnets get stuck in the sorting tube and I barely managed to move them so I can only imagine the frustration and meltdowns it would've caused if I'd given it to my toddlers. The idea is great, the magnets are strong and move easily, but the square shaped ones either need to get removed or they need to make the sorting tubes larger so all the shapes can easily be removed from them. This will be returned.

This is a great, high-quality toy that is sure to delight toddlers. It’s educational, aesthetically pleasing, and quite capable of taking a beating. Highly recommended.

This product is not made with the consumer in mind. It’s hard to ‘clear’ the slots. It needs another inch at the top because it’s very hard to shake all of the magnets out of the grooves to start over. Magnets need to be stronger and the pencil should be pointed, not flat. It’s hard for children with orthopedic problems to make the magnet pencil to fit perfectly flat to glide the magnet. If the pencil was more pointed instead of flat, and the magnet was stronger, and more space at the top, then it would be a much better toy. Poorly designed.

What a well-made and thoughtful toy! I love that the shapes move freely under the acrylic panel. The magnet *could* be a bit stronger and we have already replaced the plastic ring binder with a metal one. The original, soft plastic ring easily opens, and the sorting cards spill out. Once open, it is only a matter-of-time before it has become a choking hazard. Youngest (who is older than the suggested age group) finds the game too simple and likes for me to "set" the board ... with all the shapes indicated on the card, but in an incorrect order. He then has to sort them into their correct slots without moving them to the "bone pile" (all the unused tile/shapes.) This is a nice quality, quiet-time toy ... with no unattached parts to lose! It arrived attractively packaged and would make a great gift for some lucky 3-or4-year old.
