Works great!
I put it in with a pile of attractive rocks near my front door so it doesn't call attention to itself.

Fake Rock Key Holder
I thought this small Fake Rock would be what my family needed, as they are always misplacing their house key. This is a small fake rock; the inside area does hold the key fine. One of the problems I had was you would need to unscrew the screw on the back to open in order to get your key.We don't leave screw drivers outside, plus I did try to just tape the back, that did not work. This was not for me, Not realistic looking, plus the small screw holding the back closed would hinder my kids from opening to take out the key.

Definitely does the trick!
Feels heavy just like a real rock only thing I recommend changing is maybe not gold paint maybe like brown

Dinosaur turd?
Let's start with the good: this fake rock has ample size for a standard key, the plastic is pretty solid and heavy, and the door is well made, so tons of water shouldn't get trapped inside when it rains. Now for the less-than-great part: this absolutely doesn't look like a real rock--definitely not any you'd find in my part of the country. Instead, it has a weird green plasticky look that made my son exclaim "look's like a fossilized dinosaur turd", and I think he hit the nail on the head. Now, for my use, this will still be fine. I hid the key under a resin planter in my back yard, which is inside a fence, so nobody but my family should ever see it. However, if I were truly trying to *hide* a key, and thought that a shady person would ever walk past it, I wouldn't use this, as it stands out immediately as a fake rock.
