Q: my 54x14 ironingboard has spreaders at the tip that make it almost rectangular. will this fit it?

Yes! it might fit but it wont be as fitted and neat on the ironing board.

Q: Why is the blue one so much cheaper than the grey one??

Maybe because blue is not a popular color ?

Q: Is this cover washable?

The tag on it says "spot clean only", Do Not Machine Wash. I had to look at the online description of it and could find absolutely nothing about whether it was washable, so I got out my ironing board and found the label on it that says to spot clean only. But the items that you are ironing should always be clean first, so you probably will not have to clean your cover. It is a nice heavy duty cover though, I like it.
