Two huge bags of cornflour for this price is great - far better value than the baking aisle in the local Tesco.I have used the cornflour to thicken up some soups and stews that I make in my slow-cooker (I can never get the water ratio right, especially if I need it to cook down over the course of a few days, and if it's too watery on the later days I can thicken it up a little with this), and I tried it in a sauce I made - which went wrong for other reasons unrelated to this cornflour!Great big packs, and resealable and I haven't even needed to open the second pack yet, so that will hopefully stay lovely and fresh for when I need it.A good price, and a good product.

I recently had a big family get-together and a big request was for a stew. I unfortunately messed it up (carelessly cooking whilst distracted) and added too much stock, as a result my stew was like water, and would not thicken up no matter what.Then I remembered I had corn starch, I mixed about 2 tablespoons (this was a big stew, you should usually use less but it mostly depends on what you're cooking and how large it is) into some water, stirred and then added it to my stew and let it simmer for a bit, low and behold my stew was saved. This stuff is genuinely like a miracle!I will say, I don't usually make stew, it's a very rare thing, and even rarer I mess up in such a silly way, but what's good about corn starch is that it really never goes bad, unless moisture gets inside it. So I will have this for years, as a backup/meal saver, and that is invaluable.

I use cornflour almost all the time for coating fried chicken and thickening soups and desserts.This served as a great replacement for my normal cornflour. For the price, two resealable packs of 900g aren't too bad.I did find it difficult to reseal it and it does require a lot of force to make sure it fits back in though. It does have a good shelf life so you won't have issues keeping this for a time.

I mainly got the cornstarch to make crispy tofu in my air fryer. Both bags are resealable and the best before date is the 15th of December 2026
