Yopokki Instant Tteokbokki Cup (Sweet Mild Spicy, Cup of 2) Korean Street food with sweet and moderately spicy sauce Topokki Rice Cake - Quick & Easy to Prepare

Tried these just to see if I'd like it, and ye, the topokki texture is awesome and tasty - the flavor I got, which was the cheese - was also a good sauce to try this in. A little spicey, but very cheesey! I'll have to figure out how to make my own similar sauce, and will be getting a bigger package of the rice cakes to try different ways. This package was worth it for the singular experience, but the cost is so high (even for being some of the cheapest I could find), it's not worth another go imo. It is easy to prepare. Good for a one time go to try, but at this price would not buy again.Be careful when making it - it will try to overflow in the microwave.

These are so good. The sauce is sweet and not so spicy that you can't enjoy it. It's also not too viscous which is so important if you have issues with texture. I would recommend these again and again.

The sweet and spicy flavor is not as good as chef Kim's brand, it's just lacking some flavor. The cheese flavor is delectable. The black soy bean flavor is what you would expect, soy sauce with some heat. I have not tried the onion yet. Overall I would order again but they are quite an expensive snack.

These are so quick and easy to make and their delicious. It's sauce can get thick and it's also creamy which is really good for the cheese flavor. It has some mild spice but the flavor is good so it's worth it even if you have a low spice tolerance. Great quick and easy lunch!

I wanted to try Tteokbokki because in the first episode of "Squid Game", the main character bought them for her daughter at a vendor. I decided I would try it for myself. I'm no stranger to trying foods from all over the world, but I was certainly a stranger to many Korean foods.I received two boxes of the Onion Butter Tteokbokki. The flavor of the seasoning is so amazing! Unfortunately the noodles themselves are very squishy and chewy, for some reason very hard for me to enjoy. They don't soak up the seasoning all that well in my opinion. I have no idea why people are calling this "spicy". I braced myself thinking I would need milk and tissues nearby, but they were fine- very flavorful yes! Unfortunately they don't seem to be my cup of tea, are all Tteokbokki this tough and hard to chew? Perhaps I'm too used to pasta noodles.. I'll try this food again, maybe from a traditional resturant near me. As for the value of what you get, I feel the price is a bit steep for just two cups of this stuff- I'm glad I was able to try a small amount instead of a large quantity nonetheless.

I do not like buying food through Amazon, but it’s cheaper to buy the 6 pack than it is to buy them individually both online and in the store. They’re very good, easy to heat up, and perfect to take with you on the go for fresh(ish) tteokboki

I wrote the original review (below) quite awhile ago. I've purchased the cheese flavor a ton of times. Just received todays order and something has changed. The cheese used to be a perfectly mild spicy. Now it's SUPER spicy. I can't even eat it. The cheese flavor even tastes different. This is so unbelievably disappointing. I'm not sure I'll ever buy this again.Original Review: I bought the cheese flavor and it’s so freaking good. It kind of, just a little bit reminds me of mac and cheese flavoring but with the addition of sooo good flavors and spices. The spice level of the cheese is mild. It’s a noticeable spice but not hot spicy. Just perfectly mild. I add 50 ml of water (which is like 1.7 oz of water) to the cup, then the flavor packet and I whisk really well with a fork until blended, then I add the rice cakes at the end and stir until coated. I’ve never once had lumps making it this way. 2 minutes in the microwave is about perfect but keep an eye on it towards the end because it will bubble up and overflow. So I open the door, wait for it to settle then keep going. These are so delicious I crave them. So I’ve started buying the bigger sizes. Hope they never stop selling these.

I love this sweet mild spicy flavor. Got a couple other flavors too and this one is my favorite. Some teokkbokki brands are super spicy and I need to drink milk with them, but this one has a kick without being excessive. Lovely flavor and the rice cakes are like mini and adorable. Pleasant mouth feel, microwave instructions work well.
