A good quality lock. Below are some install hints for left opening doors.
A good quality lock. Fingerprint reader is excellent, even reading this "senior's" prints which many earlier biometric print readers had difficulty reading as they are worn thin. Works first time every time. I like that!Like many entry lock sets with deadbolt only, this one should only be considered secure when the deadbolt portion of the lock is engaged or locked. The handle portion does have what I'll call a convenience lock. But it's not really secure as it's easily opened from the outside by turning a simple slot, this lockset has one real lock, that being the deadbolt portion. This lock has some convenient features that make it easy to live with. One being the "auto-lock" feature. This will automatically relock the door after a set period of time (5 to. 30 seconds max.). It only auto-locks after the door has been opened from outside with code or print. If the door was opened with the inside knob, it stays unlocked until it is either relocked by turning the inside knob or by entering the code or reading a print outside to lock it. With auto-lock programed, I no longer have to check to be sure that door is locked before heading off to bed!Hints for those with left hand opening doors: With lever handles with curves, as this lock has, some prefer the handle portion to be curved upward at its middle, as shown in the picture - after I switched parts around. This lockset ships set up for a right opening door (unless you don't mind which way, up or down, the handle curve goes). To make this change, the handle ends need to be removed from their respective mounting flanges and swapped end for end. The handles come off the flange by depressing a little tab that's accessed through a small hole in the mounting flange body. This releases the handle portion so it can be removed (slid off). Then the innards of the two handles must also be swapped so the "convenience lock" part is installed on the inside flange (the flange with the screw holes) and the "key-slot" (not a real key lock) part goes on the outside. In the picture showing the inside handle (innards out), you can see two plastic tabs that serve to secure this part inside the handle. To remove it as shown, both these tabs must be pressed inward at the same time - and they are seemingly inaccessible inside the handle shaft hole. To remove this part, I made a tool from a scrap of 1/2" ID thin wall steel tubing. One end has the ID deburred so it can be inserted in the handle to slide over the inner knob shaft. In so doing, the tool depresses both tabs inward and the turn-knob can be removed from the outside end of the handle. Installing it in the opposite handle is much easier! Disclaimer, please don't attempt this change if you are not mechanically inclined. Or call a locksmith to make the change. Making this change may void your warranty.

Works really well, but there are no instructions on programming the fingerprints...
The media could not be loaded. I really like this Smart Lock because it doesn't have any sort of Wi-Fi connectivity, which can be a point of concern in terms of security. It works pretty well, and the programming of your custom code is pretty straightforward, but the steps are a little complicated.I would have given this five stars had it not been for the fact that the instructions do not provide any details on how to program a fingerprint whatsoever. I will keep playing around with it to try and figure it out, but that is a pretty big oversight on their part IMO. I would still recommend this, but I will also follow up if I ever figure out how to program the fingerprints because that will make things so much easier.

Safe & secure
I feel safe & secure with this lock on my door, mainly due to it's auto-lock feature! Some of my family members forget to lock the door when they leave & there's been several occasions where we've woken up & realized that the door has stayed unlocked all night long! That is a very uncomfortable feeling, even though we live in a pretty safe neighborhood. This lock auto-locks & makes me feel so much more secure, even if I forget to check to make sure it was locked before bedtime!

Fingerprint reader doesn't work.
The main reason I got this lock was to get this lock was to get the fingerprint reader capability. That is the one feature that doesn't work. I tried over and over to program it and it couldn't read my fingerprint reliabily. We are in Las Vegas and the humidity is pretty dry so that may cause it to have trouble. It does work otherwise as a combination lock and programming that part is pretty straight forward. The lock otherwise has a solid feel to it and was easy to install. Another issue is that we are a Kwikset household and we like having a single key to use on all of our locks so that our keychains are light. This lock uses a schlage style key and that was not mentioned anywhere in the product description so now we are forced to carry 2 keys. The inside part of the lock uses a round knob instead of a latch so you have to actually go to the door to feel if it is locked properly instead of being able to see it from a distance. Our house is 5,000 sq ft so it is bothersome to have to walk that distance to test if the lock is locked before going to bed at night. The instructions are also very badly translated from Chinese. For example, the instructions use "tongue" instead of "bolt" and uses "anti-lock" instead of "unlock" so the instructions are a bit hard to understand. I would recommend that the company hire somebody who is a native English speaker to proofread the instructions before putting out their next product.

This set has everything you need for the install.
I bought this set to replace my existing somewhat dated door lock. The installation was very easy it fit right into my existing holes and cutouts. The brushed nickel finish matched my existing hardware's color perfectly. This set includes templates if you are cutting holes in a new door. I also was surprised to see that the instructions are quite readable and thourough. The only thing I didn't like about this set is the door knob. The door knob has a lock without a key like one that is typically used for an interior door. I would much rather have no lock at all on the knob and just have the deadbolt as the only locking mechanism.I also thought it was a nice touch that the electronic lock has a usbc port that can be used to "jump" the dead lock with a battery pack.Overall, I think this set is a good value. It was an easy drop-in replacement for my existing hardware.
