The "globe" itself is really pretty and exactly as I expected. The ceiling mount is really thin, flimsy, has a sloppy faux finished painted on it, and has a slightly smaller diameter than the standard hole cut in the ceiling. The worst part is the mounting screws are too short, and it's compounded by the fact that they loosen up anytime you try to attach the mounting caps to them. There COULD be an element of user error in my troubles, but unfortunately this fixture doesn't come with instructions, so I can't say for sure. The bulb is very blue as others have indicated.The only reason I'm not returning it is because the finished installation looked just fine where I placed it in my house. Also, this fixture cost half as much as the same fixture at Lowe's, so the extra time and minor rigging I had to do to make it work are worth the savings for me personally.

This is smaller than I had expected, which meant we had to back fill our pre cut ceiling holes. No biggie, but something to know. Also the light bulb that comes with it is so incredibly blue, for a hall or outside it is fine, but in a bedroom it is very dim. Unfortunately the opening to where the bulb is is so small we haven't found another bulb that fits. We bought two one for a small hallway and another for our office, we plan to remove the office one and install a flush mount that matches our other bedrooms. I dont think I would buy these again unfortunately. They were reasonably priced, but I wish they were slightly larger. The do seem like good quality however. It has been 6 months since we installed them and no further complaints.

The base of the lamp is actually closer to brass. It is not the look I was going for so i spray painted it black. Came out perfect!It was fairly easy to install. Directions were not super clear but I was able to do it.The light that comes with it is ridiculously bright, so I bought another one at Home Depot. Very important to note that while the base of the light is standard the opening of the fixture is SMALL so if you get a diff light it has to be skinny. It took a tiny bit of shimmying to make sure I had all the screws in correctly and the glass part secure. But I got it. The shadows are soooo pretty. It’s perfect for my little entryway.

Overpriced. The “brass” looks cheap & gaudy. Installation was a pain. One of the screws they sent had no head at all. All of the screws were too short for the mount. We had to jimmy rig it & are hoping it doesn’t fall from the ceiling. Using it as upstairs hallway lighting & the idea is cute. Just poor quality. However, I paid over $300 for one similar to this in my old house from a big popular light store. So you get what you pay for.

Smaller than expected. Looks cheap. Flimsy and poorly made. Listening to my husband’s frustration while trying to install this “f***ing piece of junk” made me want to smash it. My husband is an engineer. This thing was not easy to install. It’s impossible to adjust all the screws when putting it on the ceiling. ALSO KEEP IN MIND the light bulbs Amazon recommends you purchase this do not fit! Now we have to settle with the LED that came with it which is ugly AF. Will return the light bulbs but I’m not sure I want to listen to my husband try to uninstall the fixture. Going to a brick and mortar store to find a new light bulb that makes our entry way look less like the inside of a tanning bed. Maybe even a new fixture and actually smash this one when I get home. Would not recommend anyone purchase this item.

I'm over the moon about this light! It was relatively easy to install, everything was in one piece and worked great, and it looks absolutely beautiful in our front entry way! My only qualm is that the base that attaches the light to the ceiling, is NOT black. It looks black in the pictures but it is definitely this kind of golden/bronze color with what looks like some lazy person swiped black paint on it but gave up. We intend to paint it so it's black, but otherwise great purchase! Lets off A LOT of light, works with our dimmer, is a good size enough to where it doesn't hang so low as anyone to hit their head on it.

the light was packaged well. the fixture itself is pretty and the size as described. i was not expecting the ceiling mount to be faux brass finish, as the metal portion of the light is black. the ceiling mount doesn't match and looks really really cheap. just opened the box, not sure if i'll keep or return.

While the listing says it takes E26 bulbs (and that you can use your own), the opening for the bulb is too small for regular sized bulbs. The included bulb is an E26, but it is a thin "candlelight" bulb. I needed to use a specific bulb in this light (smart bulb) and it will not fit. It is a nice looking light and I'm sad to return it, but it won't work for me.

I bought this for my sons room and I love the patter it lights up on the roof. I will probably paint the base black because I feel like the base makes it look old. I am happy with the product overall. It does require a different bulb than normal but they were easy to find in the stores. The long skinny ones that look like a flame.

The only reason I did not give this product five stars, was because the inside of the fixture is not clean and you can’t reach inside to clean it very easily. Other than that I love it. Other reviewer’s have commented that E26 bulbs don’t fit. I had no problem using a chandelier bulb with a thick base. The light that comes with it is very white. This is a warmer white that I have put in myself. Very pleased with this purchase.

ceiling base is much smaller than regular in Ontario homes. and wiring is bassaskwards. doesn't work. in storage :(very pretty tho. sad it doesn't fit :(

My wife wanted to change all our light fittings these were for the walkway to the bedrooms, she loves them. So life is good till next time.
