I don’t usually leave reviews, but I was really surprised by this product. I have struggled with hormonal acne from PCOS for all of my adult life. I usually use Spironolactone and Tretinoin to help mitigate the breakouts, and it has been THE ONLY real solution, but I’m currently pregnant so Spironolactone had to be completely discontinued (which does MOST of the work for my hormonal acne) and Tretinoin is not recommended during pregnancy (and I don’t think my skin barrier would appreciate me using it anyhow). I have had an obvious uptick in hormonal breakouts on the chin and jawline since getting pregnant and I’ve been doing EVERYTHING I can to try and keep them managed, but they are picking up a bit more. I use microdart stickers that help a little, but I have clustered breakouts that make pimple patches very impractical and expensive. ANYWAY, I was worried about this “drying” product irritating my skin barrier and leaving my skin very uncomfortable because I have naturally sensitive skin and it’s been even more delicate during pregnancy, but I read reviews and gave it a try…I was POSITIVE that this would sting and irritate my skin, but if you have severe acne - you’re used to the trial and error. I had 2 major clusters of breakouts that seemed to be peaking in their growth and irritation. My breakouts are a combination of deep cystic like pimples that take a week or so to surface, and smaller more inflammatory pimples that seem to just pop up in a single day. I used this product last night and not only did those clusters seem to calm and flatten significantly overnight, but my skin was also not irritated in anyway. Some of the more “mature” pimples had a layer of dry skin on top like when being dried out with Tretinoin, but it flaked off easily and there was a significantly flatter and less red spot underneath. I did no picking or popping before using this product, just dabbed it onto the area of the breakout and let it be. All of the “types” of pimples seems to dry out and improve atleast a little, but I saw the biggest benefit in the pimples that typically take awhile to surface and leave a big scar no matter what I do, so that’s very exciting. I’m hoping to just hush those guys up the best I can and avoid new scarring. It’s not very often that I find a hormonal/cystic acne treatment that actually helps and doesn’t cause more inflammation and irritation, but this one is going on the list especially for the remainder of this pregnancy.

I’ve been using this stuff forever. It helps reduce cystic acne bumps really quick… especially in combination with a hydrocolloid patch. I usually use it for preventative method as well. One bottle lasts quite a while for me because a little goes a long way. Make sure you shake it up before using it.

I got the product on August 10th and have been applying ever since (today's date: 08/19). I shake it well as given in the description and apply it directly on the area with my finger where I feel the cystic acne bumps underneath the skin. There were about 5-6 bumps on my cheek that I could feel when I touched and within 9 days of using this product am and pm, the bumps have shrunk and it's about just 5% of what it were. Trust me when I say I've tried everything for my cystic acne. I used to try drying creams, warm compress and try to bring them to surface and then keep applying more spot treatments and then pimple patches. This process would take me months as cystic acne is stubborn and takes months to come to surface. This liquid is a game changer! Just within 9 days it has literally killed the cystic acne without having to bring them up to surface and I cannot be happy enough. Acne can really mess you up and knowing that I am going to get more acne after feeling these stubborn bumps underneath my skin, I would be even more sad. I'm so so glad that I tried this product and would want everyone to try this for cystic acne too. Hope this product helps everyone who's struggling like it helped me!!
