Winderful floral arrangement book by a star in her field
I was thrilled to find that the best florist in Nashville had written a book about arranging. I love everything about this book.

A valuable addition to my gardening library
If you had ever told me I would be giving 5 stars to a book about flower arranging, I wouldn’t have believed you. But here we are. Like many other books on the subject I have seen over the years, Everyday Bouquet is loaded with beautiful photographs of artful arrangements for the reader to study and try to duplicate. There is an inspiration on every page. But there is so much more. If you can resist skipping over the how-to part in the front of the book, you will find a succinct, well written and easy to understand explanation of floral design principles. Here the author details balance, proportion, scale, focal point, movement, dimension, contrast, space, and the use of repetition. Each is presented so it builds on the others. Next comes the description of the tools, supplies and mechanics that will help make the difference between attractive and stunning. By the time you have absorbed this wisdom and dive into the weekly examples, you will have a firm understanding of how the author is approaching each creation and fully appreciate the way an arrangement is being constructed. If you are like me, you will start seeing possibilities in containers and find new uses for seasonal flora. This is a book I will return to time and again for inspiration. If you only have one reference on flower arranging in your library, it should be this one.

Gorgeous photographs!
This book is absolutely gorgeous! I am not a professional florist, but I enjoy creating floral arrangements for my own home. The photographs offer a lot of inspiration, and the author offers some tips and guidance for some of the arrangements. This an alright resource for amateur or beginners, but I would also happily glance through this book if I were someone looking into floral arrangements for a special occasion, event, or wedding.

Beautiful book with full color photos
This is a beautiful hardcover book. I am a gardener but I do not cut my flowers because I don't know what to do with them next. This book starts with an introduction to principles: Balance, Proportion, Scale, Focal Point, Movement and Dimension, Contrast, Space, Color, Repetition, and Variety. Next is a section on Commonly Used Tools and Mechanics. I will return to those sections over and over again. Then there is an arrangement per week for 52 weeks. This part of the book is not a "How To." Instead, an arrangement is presented and explained, how it ties in to the season, how the principles have been applied. Each week Nature is discussed, starting in early Spring and moving through the year. The variety of flowers used in the arrangement are those which may be available at that time of year. The photography is impressive! Making the most of each arrangement, the photos for the week show the detail of the flowers, the integration of color. There are several 2-page spreads, of gorgeous flowers up close. Very interesting and enjoyable.

Gorgeous!
The media could not be loaded. This is a beautiful and inspiring book, and not just for flower arranging. I know you can’t go wrong with flower generally speaking, but this book goes above and beyond. The photography is gorgeous and the images are printed clearly and crisply. The paper quality and binding of the book are great. It has exceeded my expectations.I haven’t done much formal (planned out) flower arrangements, I most will just toss a bunch of flowers into a vase and hope for the best. This book gives lots of ideas, tips and tricks for working with different varieties of flowers, including ways to get smaller flowers to stand out in an arrangement and using household items like bowls for arrangements. But what I am most intrigued by are the color palette, which is what I think really extends beyond flower arrangements into other areas, which for me is quilting. I feel very inspired by the use and mix of color, that I would love to design quilts around the color palettes in the book. It is absolutely gorgeous.

aesthetically gorgeous with lovely well written content to match!
To be honest, I mostly got this book to use as a decor piece (I'm planning on displaying this book open on a book stand and I love that literally every page is a gorgeous arrangement) but I was pleasantly surprised to find that this was beautifully written too.☾ Seriously, if you just enjoy pretty, poetic prose and ~flowery~ language (pun intended), read this! The way the author described each flower made me appreciate their beauty in a whole new way. I've never tried flower arranging but this book made me immediately want to go buy flowers and materials for a fun and probably fleeting spring hobby.☾ The book starts with foundational knowledge and techniques for flower arranging before going into all the materials you might need. Perfect for beginners.☾ The following chapters are organized by week of the year. The author thoughtfully paints a vivid picture that captures the essence of each arrangement, with bright and colorful illustrations seamlessly woven between her instructions and explanations.Overall I loved it! Definitely recommend for anyone remotely interested in flower arranging or just as a lovely coffee table book.

floral arrangements
I got this hoping for color inspiration but instead i got a feeling of old victorian colors. The pages are a nice weight and a nice hard cover (without a sleeve) and decent binding but the arrangements just were not super inspirational. But colors are very subjective so what i might not like you might love. i probably would not buy for a gift without some asking specifically for this book.
