After having k-laser treatment on my knee with good results I decided to buy a red light therapy machine and decided on this one as it has a pulse option that others don’t, easy to charge and easy to use although would have preferred a usb c connection instead of a pin, does about 8-10 uses to a charge and charges in about 4-5 hours, seems to help and time will tell, overall very pleased

I'm not one for health gadgets, I prefer old school solutions, but a recent niggling knee injury left me looking for a solution after the usual floor roller failed to fix.Firet of all, this device seems to be very well made, it's light but feels solid and the screen is very clear and easy to read. The therapy light beam is easy to tailor to your needs, with in terms of pattern and intensity. I started straight at the highest level (why not), and monitored the skin for signs of any adverse effects, which I didn't notice any at all.I couldn't feel anything, apart from a bit of heat on the contact point, but thay may just be paranoia or simply the insulation of the plastic to skin. After 20min the device turned off as per the timer selected and this is the weird part.... despite my sceptism, it did feel like the pain had subsided, not disappeared, but noticeably less. I honestly don't know if this was placebo or genuine treatment at this point. I intend to try this again on other areas as and when pain and discomfort occurs, I'll post back the results.As it is, this is quite a significant investment at around £107 at the time of ordering, but if its helps, it's a price worth paying. I'm just not 100% convinced yet, and this seems to corroborate the mixed opinions of health experts.

This comes with safety glasses, comprehensive instructions, charger and cable.I won't go through what is detailed in the listing but will try and give an option on my use so far.Build qualityThe device is very well made, perhaps not quite premium but very good. It's solid and feels nice to use with a very clear colour display, audible tones and good buttons.InstructionsThe instructions are pretty comprehensive. They detail the basics as well as recommended treatment times for different areas. Lots of help is also available on the internet.Easy of useIt's easy to hold and use for extended periods of time. They recommend 20 mins twice a day of the treatment area. For me one use a day was effective. In use it makes the skin warm but nowhere near hot. It's recommend that the safety glasses are used and not to use it near the eyesBattery lifeIt's easy to charge and the battery last about 4 to 5 hours depending on the power level and other settings.Does it work?So far I've only used it to help with sports recovery, mostly on my legs and glutes from running and cycling. Around 30 mins at night is enough to make a positive difference to my sports recovery. It is instantly soothing with a mild pain relief effect and seems to reduce recovery time making it possible to train everyday without excessive soreness.Some of the things they claim it can be used on seem a bit far fetched but for sports recovery it's effective but don't expect miracles, it's just one part of the recovery process.Overall this is beneficial to me. The price seems just about OK and at the time of review the white version was cheaper.

Like the variable timer from 1 minute to 99mins.. Like the variable power and the ability to strobe which gives more effect. Great on stiff joints.

I did find a number of studies that seemed to indicate effectiveness for skin and muscle treatment, though, so was keen to give this a try.I have issues with my knee, which sometimes flares up after I run. I decided to start using this for 20 minutes at a time, both before I run and shortly afterwards.I've been using this for four days now, and I've definitely noticed a difference. The pain in my knee after my past couple of days' runs has been significantly less noticeable. I'm currently completely undecided as to whether this is placebo or genuine effectiveness of the device, but for now I'll happily take either.The device itself is very straightforward to use. You just switch it on and select between continuous and pulsating light, and then set the power level and a timer. I use a pulsating light on full power. During use it seems like I can 'feel' it working, manifesting as a kind of warm buzzing feeling, although again I'm unsure how much of this is placebo.Time will tell how permanent these benefits turn out to be. If this does continue to work, though, I'll be very happy.

I am in two minds over this product. It did help somewhat when I pulled a muscle working out but I am not sure if that was a placebo effect or if it actually did something. It did make my skin a bit warm but that is explained in the booklet. The instructions are very comprehensive and provide a lot of recommendations for use. Overall I am impressed and do reach for it when recovering!PS Wear the safety goggles!!
