ChocZero Keto Butter Cookies - Sugar Free Danish Shortbread - Gluten Free, Low Carb - 8oz, (Pack of 1)

As someone who has been doing keto for years, it is hard to find that things will taste 100% exactly as their sugar filled counterpart. No, they won’t. It is an acquired taste, if you are new to low carb and keto, wait some time so your body naturally starts accepting keto sweats after being deprived from sugar and carbs in general for a while. At that point it will taste heavenly. If you have recently started keto and are looking to satisfy your cravings this is what you can expect. There is nothing that I love more than Danish cookies and shortbreads. I love the buttery crispy flavor and that heavenly balanced sweetness, I love eating them with tea, coffee, hot cocoa or plain milk. I am a true fan of real danish cookies with no additives, no butter or artificial butter flavorings. Going back to the review, this cookies are good, they are somewhat a little bit dryer to taste than their full carb counterpart. I imagine it is due to the coconut flour. Normally coconut overpowers everything in general however the taste of butter is still subtle and noticeable which pairs well with the coconut. They have a nice nutty smell almost like brown butter, they’re very crispy and delightfully sweet. In the keto flavor scale I’d give it a 8/10 for being a good healthy counterpart as it is faithful to the traditional ingredients in a danish cookie. (Eggs, butter, vanilla) The only reason I’d give it 8 instead of 10 is due to the addition of palm oil which I am not fan of. For the price I’d expect it to have only butter and no other additional oil. Specially a bad one like palm oil. Setting that aside, they’re well packed however quantity not to big, again compared to the carb counterpart I get it we’re paying the healthy keto tax. Would I be buying them again? Yes because it is christmas season and this is part of my tradition during christmas, along with hot cocoa. I recommend pairing it with a cup of hot cocoa made with Lakanto Drinking chocolate. I was so pleasantly surprised by how delicious these ChocZero Keto Butter Cookies are! They have a rich, buttery flavor that tastes just like traditional shortbread, without the sugar or carbs. The texture is crisp yet melts in your mouth, and there’s no weird aftertaste like with some other keto treats. They feel like a real indulgence but fit perfectly into a low-carb lifestyle. I love keeping a few in my bag for an on-the-go treat. Highly recommend if you’re doing keto or just cutting back on sugar!

Keto-good, texture-sandy, taste-ok but after taste after 2 cookies, serving size-4 cookies, cookies are thinner that the original danish cookies, value-brand is expensive. Lots of cookies in container as opposed to other cookies in their product line. Ultimately removed from subscribe and save.

The media could not be loaded. So I’ve been a fan of the tinned shortbread cookies my entire life. It was a staple in my home growing up. However, I had to remove the standard, classic, find-em-everywhere kind from my life some time ago because I was a semi-fat whale (probably from eating too many shortbread cookies but I digress) so I came to terms with the fact long ago that I would never taste the standard tin cased shortbread cookies deliciousness again. I would longingly stare at the originals in my own home every year because they still remain a standard in my home to this day (families, holidays, you know how it goes). I just accepted they were no longer for me and I begrudgingly remained committed to abstaining indefinitely while my family enjoyed them.I thought shortbread cookies like these were a thing of my dietary past—UNTIL NOW.I have purchased countless items from ChocZero and have always been beyond pleased. I was unaware of the existence of these cookies until I was casually looking on Amazon for god only knows what at the time and immediately bought them. Even though I have come to find ChocZero never disappoints in general I still was expecting these to be a subpar knock-off version of the classic because how could one match the decadence of the original without the artificial BS? So I was cool with this likely being a “close enough” substitute. For those following a “keto” or paleo type lifestyle, you eventually grow accustomed to imitations not quite being the same as their corn syrup laden counterparts. The artificial sugar or weird aftertaste that is often associated with “diet” or “keto” spin offs is something you just sort of expect. So “Close enough” was the expectation for me and honestly “close enough” would still have been great…so imagine my surprise when I popped one of these delicious little nuggets of happiness into my mouth and it was SO close to the original that I almost worried I bought the wrong ones. I ate another and another and then had to stop myself knowing this is how I became the glacial-paced whale I once was so I had to stop myself from eating the entire tin. Self restraint is key with these crunchy sweet concoctions of wonder. It WILL bring you the nostalgic delightfulness of their Standard-American Diet counterparts, you WILL want to eat them, you WILL wonder why these aren’t on every store shelf everywhere because they so closely rival the originals but for a fraction of the cost to your waistline and health. So many things WILL transpire upon consumption but one thing that won’t. You will NOT regret buying these. I’m honestly munching on one as I type this wondering what sorcery the ChocZero folks have to pull this off with such precision. I don’t know what kind of magic ChocZero clearly possesses but if it continues to bring this level of tasty delightfulness into our lives, I support it and I strongly encourage everyone to buy these to keep the magic alive in their factory of wonder.

These are absolutely delicious. The best butter cookies I've had (keto)!! We bought a second can. My only complaint is that a number of the top cookies were broken upon arrival, but I believe that's an Amazon issue, not the manufacturer's.

I am gluten-free and thought I would try these cookies. Although they taste OK, they are very dry and many are in pieces. They are a very crumbly cookie.
