If you're doing long jump rope sessions on concrete / rough surfaces, you're going to run through cables quickly. I'm going through one cable every 2-3 outdoor jumprope sessions, at which point the outer coating is gone, and the metal core is starting to fray, which not only leaves poky metal spikes, but also changes the swing dynamic. These are good replacements and they're cheap enough to keep up with how often I replace my outdoor rope's cables. They don't last forever but they're not meant to.

There perfect 👌. Your an idiot if you think any these or any will survive against concrete. I have some rouge jump speed ropes which are superb but, even those don't stand a chance against concrete. To counter concrete I bought foam mats extend the life of the rope buy 100 percent. These are definitely going to perform. Obviously if you bend melt it's never going to go back to normal so don't step on the loops and bend them accidentally it's your fault not the company.

I bought these replacement cables for my speed rope as the outer coating had rubbed off my current cable. I jump rope outside on a blacktop surface. During the first session using these cables the outer coating rubbed off exposing the metal cable. My previous cables typically lasted 3-4 months before replacement was needed. The price is great. The product is not.

When I travel I often have to jump rope on rough pavement which eats up every rope I've tried leaving me with a set of new-ish handles and a frayed rope which catches on everything it touches. These cables are the best way I've found to deal with that problem. They're good quality, quick and easy to change (they even include the hardware!), and inexpensive since I'm not paying for the handles over and over again. The cable style rope isn't my favorite style (I may be in the minority among jump rope aficionados in that opinion), but they work very well and save me $$$. I'm very happy with the purchase and will re-buy when I've used these up.

I purchased this item back in June 2018 and in two months have burned through all five ropes. I jump about half an hour a day on soft/smooth floors (no cement). When new, the ropes are great. They're soft and do not kink. However, the nylon polymer gets worn quickly. This exposes the steel cable and frays them allowing you to cut yourself on the steel strands. The part of the rope that hits the ground also develops kinks quickly making jumping more difficult.*edit* AEOLOS contacted me and rectified the problem. A+ for great customer service.

Very nice cables. I’m a professional athlete, so no cables ever lasts too long for me. But these cables held out pretty well, the plastic coating seems to be more tenacious than others I’ve used. But I’ve already gone through three cables from this purchase already since my purchase earlier this month. I love the colors, biggest reason to buy them is to show off my skills and cool cables XD.

Plastic coating comes off after maybe 300 jumps, and the whole rope breaks within the week. Definitely would recommend spending the extra money and finding a better rope. I would avoid this completely.

Perfect for swapping out the cable on a jump rope where the included cable had frayed and broken over time. Great that it comes with several cables, and these will probably last for the better part of a year if not longer (depends on how much you use it on concrete or other rough surfaces).
