Rayon Challis Batik Texture Blue/Purple/Turquoise, Fabric by the Yard

I received the ordered fabric quickly, and, was quite impressed with how pretty and soft it is. The blue and purple colors are very vibrant, and, it feels nice. While I haven't sewed or made anything withr it yet, the fabric seems to have been cut very straight. Will likely be buying more of the same fabric again, soon.

Beautiful fabric and drapes well if used for maxi dresses with satin lining. Must use lining to avoid static clinging to your body. It has the tendency to stretch while working with it so use staystitch and if your garment has any bias cut pieces. Allow the garment to hang for at least 48 hours to allow full stretching of the material before hemming.

I got this because one of the ladies I watch on u tube goes on and on about this material so I thought I would see what all the hype is about.Well I just got a yard and the color I chose was so pretty. BUT, it wrinkles so bad plus the fabric was so thin. I don’t know if there are different types of rayon challis, but I was not impressed. Maybe the Rayon Challis she uses on U tube is a better quality.

Very thin and hard to work with. It also frayed a lot.

Beautiful colors and good quality fabric.

Fabric was rough and thicker than expected. I was expecting soft flouncy rayon. This fabric is not the rayon I am used to. I returned the fabric for a refund.

Does not look like the photo but is still a nice fabric.
