I have several PCs with only a Display Port for digital video output that I wanted to connect through an IOGear GCS1104 4-Port KVM with DVI inputs and DVI monitor output. These adapters worked perfectly "plug and play" feeding a 1920x1200 LCD display at that resolution. Three of the PCs are HP boxes running Windows 7 and one is a Lenovo running Windows 10.The limitation of these inexpensive DP adapters is that they do not support resolutions higher than 1920x1080 and 1920x1200. For example, Display Port supports 2560x1440 60FPS monitors but you will have to downscale your output resolution to 1920x1080 with this adapter for it to work.

Doesn't work with HP docking station which has a DP++. Other active converters do work.

I purchased four of these adapters recently. The first two worked perfectly with two monitors which are about 3 years old. The next two did not work with monitors which are about 7 years old. I verified that both the adapters and older monitors are DVI-D, not DVI-I. After some research, the only possible cause I could find is the age of the monitors. So I will donate the older monitors and use the two remaining adapters on two newer monitors.

My DELL UltraSharp U2913WM LED monitor has both dvi and vga port.I purchased this adapter for my Lenovo laptop which with a DP port.Mirror model and extend model are so useful to solved all my trouble.Works exactly as expected. Highly recommend！

This does exactly what is is supposed to do. If you think you need something like this, this is the one to buy.

Excellent product. Works as advertised. It allows me to works on my Geforce 970'and my older DVI monitors.Support the resolution up to 1080p.The length is just fine,not too short, not too long.
