After trying several brands, these are by far the ones that work for me. I'd give these Mack's more of 4.5 stars. The plugs don't completely block out all noises, but rather muffles out 70-80%. You can still hear a little bit of banging and clanging indoors. However, the plugs do completely block out the otherwise annoying humming noises from ceiling fans, loud fridge/freezer, and loud indoor A/C and outside A/C ground unit. These are the annoyances that have been plaquing my sleeping for a long time. Now, these Mack's max protection do the job well of blocking out those noises so I can get the restful sleep. Surprisingly, these also muffle out noises from my hard soles flip-flop sandals on hardwood flooring.Every plug fits right and doesn't fall out or loosen during sleep; whereas other brands I've bought do loosen out. These actually last a few weeks of usage per pairs as well. What I also like is these plugs also muffle out the outside neighbor noises and the loud and otherwise disturbing modified car mufflers and louder motorcycles like Harley.Thank you, Mack, for a restful sleep!

Love these earplugs. They’re the comfiest ones I’ve found and block out so much sound that I’ve had to get a second alarm clock that’s louder than my phone alarm just to wake me up in the morning. But it’s worth it because my boyfriend sounds like a chainsaw when he sleeps.

Get the best , a one decibel difference is noticeable

I bought these orange ear plugs, and Mac's needs to do one of two things: either sell them cheaper in quantities of 40, or pack 50 in a larger container. The top 10 or 12 ear plugs were mashed beyond use when the lid was screwed down. I tried to roll them back into shape, but nope. You can't put 15 lbs of potatoes into a 10 lb bag. I haven't used these yet, but I've used Allen's, which is a similar product.

Concerned at first. Plugs crammed and deformed in container as shown in some pics. They are fine. They are great. Decibel reduction better than anything I've had before. Fit, expand smartly, and more comfortable than I thought possible.

These are actually substantial enough to block out most sounds. Highly recommend.

Tried quite a few. These are THE BEST!

Always used Hearos, but they changed them (smaller) some time back so they're no longer as good as they used to be. Was trying to find something that was as good. Figured 'for larger ear canals' meant they'd be bigger around, but they're actually slightly smaller in diameter than the current Hearos. They are however, longer. Guess that's the larger ear canal part, but for me, they're too long. Have to push them in too deep to get a decent seal and then they bother my ears. Guess I'll go back to Hearos. Even though they're not what they used to be, they still work better for me than the Mack's.
