I had never heard of Black ( Forbidden ) Rice before, so began investigating it. It is, apparently, almost a super food with lots of healthy and beneficial enzymes in it. I decided to try it and found that health benefits aside, this rice is delicious. I normally eat brown rice, which is better for you than regular white rice, but this has an entirely different, unique taste that I love. I truly recommend to rice lovers, give it a try, you will like it, and it's really healthy for you. Bon appetit.

I love black sweet rice - grew up on this stuff as a Korean. This is best mixed with white or brown rice since alone the flavor can be quite strong. Pressure cookers cook the rice to perfection. My go-to mixture is 1 cup black rice to 2 cups of brown ("cup" referring to the standard rice cooker measuring cups). I purchased this product twice now and have been very happy with it - hoping it will be available on Amazon for a long time since I am moving to a city without a large Asian supermarket and would like to continue having it as a staple in my diet!

This black rice is definitely pricier than the grocery store ones. Especially the Asian grocery stores. However, if there isn't one around you or you don't have time for a grocery store run, this is definitely a good one to turn to. We like the flavor and healthiness, but you definitely need to cook them for a longer period of time and soak them beforehand.We usually mix this with white rice so it's not as hard to digest.

We received this bag a rice a few days ago, and hadn’t used it yet. It was sitting on my desk and when I was on the computer, I literally heard the bugs crawling around in the bag. I looked through the plastic and saw small bugs moving around in the rice. Tossed it before I even opened it.

Love the rice!! Packaged well, very clean, great quality. It took a longer time to arrive than I expected, not sure why. Great buy!
