Looks and sound they got it all
I bought the KEF LSX II LT and KEF Kube 10b. They are being used in a small home office. I am really impressed with most aspects of the speakers. Pros -Easy to setup. -Easy to add the sub, with recommended settings. -Overall sound is beautiful. -So cool looking, at least for me. -Price, I chose these over the KEF LSX II and LS50 just because of price. Cons -The app or remote seemed to be the only way to adjust the volume when controlling music from a streaming service. However you control the music from within the streaming service app. -I am putting this as a con but for me it was actually a pro. The highs seem to be lacking in a way that I enjoy. For example I am huge Pink Floyd fan and the clocks at the start of Time and the voice in the Great gig in the sky were not as harsh as normal. It didn't feel like anything was lacking but that might just be because I didn't miss what was missing. I am not an audiophile, the last set of speakers I had that sounded pretty good were some Cerwin Vega at15s 35 years ago. I do have Sony xm5 buds and over ear, beats and other decent headphones. I can say that the KEF speakers brought back a love of music that I haven't had in a long time. There is just something about being able to feel the music that I love. I think the sub was a must for me. When I turn it off even at low volumes the difference is noticeable to me. I have been listening with friends and family as well and they do not notice it as much.

My search is over for the ultimate desktop speaker!
I tried several speakers on my desktop to connect with an Apple Mac Studio computer, mainly to listen to music and general purpose computer speakers. I have tried several others and this is the first speaker that has really impressed me with great sound quality, connectivity, and looks. I got the gray version which matches my office without making too much of a statement. The setup was relatively easy after downloading the KEF Connectivity App. I connected the speakers with a USB cable to play high res audio from Apple Music. I also picked up an SVS SB 2000 Pro Sub that compliments these speakers very nicely. I also picked up a set of Kanto S4 desktop speaker stands that fit perfectly including the mounting screw/hole on the bottom of the speaker.

Second speaker not working
Second speaker does not work!! Just arrived and set up per instructions and have been troubleshooting for a while. Either the cable doesn’t work or the second speaker is messed up. Bad quality control

Requires internet and location services
Sounds fine, Can not function when not connected to the internet. No purely wired or bluetooth mode Requires use of terrifyingly unsecure app+constant location services to use what should be a plug and play device. Reject and boycott all internet of things/ always online nonsense.

Angelic Stereo Imaging and Sound
Wow these speakers are just lovely. Too start off they just look marvellous. I use them as desktop speakers. Sound imaging and clarity is just beautiful. Since I use them in a small room 12 square meters, they are pretty loud. Personally, I bought them for low volume listening which they do okay. You definitely need a subwoofer. I added a KEF Kube 10 ME and they sound phenomenal. I really enjoy listening to music with this system. the KEF connect app is a bit flaky sometimes but once setup you might never need to use it again.

Expected Sound Quality - Nits on the small details
As expected from KEF at this price range, the audio is top notch and that certainly will leave me with 5 stars and being happy. They work well as near-field desktop speakers which is how I am using them. That said, there are a number of small nitpicks that would not have changed my purchase but could have been better: - The graphite color is nothing like the rendered images from the product description. The color on the listing is a more warm gray and on the darker side. In reality the speakers are a much more neutral/cool gray. - On the tweeter there is a yellow ring that that is visible. - When using USB, upon waking up the speaker it sets the volume to 100% for a split-second before going back to the original set sound. Considering its audio that wakes the speaker up, its a little annoying. - Comes only with the power and the connecting USB C cable. No optical, no hdmi, no usb, etc. Not the end of the world and at this price point people are probably going to bring their own cables, but was interesting. - You must the app to set the speakers up, so they aren't really plug and play. For my use case I don't really care to use any of the wireless features.

Fantastic!
Not sure about the other negative reviews, but I have these plugged directly in via USB-C to my PC tower and they work flawlessly and sound fantastic. In addition, when I use spotify from my cellphone, I haven't had a single issue. Well worth the money for top-notch sound and a great, compact size for my desk.

I use these as desktop speakers for my PC in a small room. They are incredible and crystal clear. Get ready to hear things in your music that you haven't heard before. It's like having a new music collection. I currently use Amazon Music HD. To get optimal use of the speakers, I suggest using a HD source. Your quality of sound will be dependent on how good the source is. I had to try some different set-ups on my desk to get the sound just right. I have the speakers on the desk about 6 - 8 inches from the wall and the speakers are about 3.5 feet from me and I have them toed in slightly so they point just to the outside of my ears when sitting. I'm also using IsoAccoustic stands and recommend some sort of stand rather than leaving them to sit just on the desk. I really wanted to write this review to suggest you check out the review of these speakers at "absolute sound" on YouTube. This review is thorough and excellent. I reiterate the absolute sound rating of "Wow". I couldn't be happier with my purchase of these speakers. Update: I added the KEF KC62 subwoofer. Easily set-up with the LSX II LT speakers. Simply add the sub and select KC62. This brings in the KEF recommended crossover points. Since the room is small I dialed back the gain to -8.0 dB to blend with the speaker output without being boomy. I put the sub on my desk. The fullness of sound the sub gives is amazing. The sub makes the system so much better. I don't think I could go without it now. Update I used ChatGPT to make adjustments to the subwoofer settings. Factory settings seemed to have crossover points too low for my small room. The highs and midrange seemed a bit muted. Set high pass at 80 and low pass at 70. Gain -10 and changed to wall mode -0.5 since the LSXii speakers are on stands and the sub is a few inches from the wall and not in a corner. This brightened things up. Bass is clean and detailed. Not boomy due to gain decrease. Chat GPT was amazing since I could ask multiple questions to fine tune as I went along and it gave me advice at each tweak along the way. All that said it took a lot of tweaking and listening as the changes were made. ChatGPT even recommended songs that could be used to isolate just the sound I was looking for. E.g. clean and detailed base from the sub and crisp and clear highs from the speakers all blended well together. Full but not boomy bass at my desk and full bass and not boomy even 8 feet away at higher volumes. I like the sound even better now. This is a great combo; pricy but worth it if you’re looking for high quality sound. I’ve removed the screenshots because the settings have changed since my original post.

Uso Windows 11

AirPlay support isn’t great. They only work half of the time. As that is the main feature, I bought them for. I’m going to send them back.
