The HAWSON Black Bow Ties Pocket Square Set with Cufflinks and Studs is a decent costume piece. It looks good from a distance and in photos. Up close and personal, it is very obvious that it is just a costume set. The cufflinks and studs are better than the decorative parts on the tie and should work well long term, but the tie has a finite use as the jewelry portions are quite delicate. For the price, it is a lovely set and suits my needs for a photo session. 5-stars for what it is.

I'll be honest, I don't wear cuff links and I don't know what to do with a pocket square. I love bow ties, though, and this one was kind enough to educate me on the different styles of bow ties while also providing a classic look for me to enjoy. The tie itself is well made. The leaf decorations aren't embroidered as you might suspect but are actually metal pieces affixed to the sides. This makes the bow tie quite a bit heavier than normal, and it changes the way it sits just a little bit. I almost would have preferred gold thread embroidery so that I don't have to worry about accidentally scratching or bending the metal.Packaging was really classy, too: Everything came in a fancy black box with stretchy bands and clever tabs holding it all inside.

If your "formal", shirt is white or a "lighter" color then, this bow tie / button kit will work for you. They "Onyx" cuff links and the polished black button studs really dress-up the look of the shirt and compliment your jacket whether it is black or white. The bow tie is well-shaped and puts the final accent to this complete "formal" look when you put it all together. Not too much, just a simple "classy" look for you.

This is a nice non-traditional tux accessory set. The tie and pocket square are a bit shiny cheap looking but fine for less serious events or for adventurous fashion looks. Plenty of button studs, I had some extra than I needed. Everything was easy to use.If you need to wash the bow tie, I would recommend to carefully hand wash it rather than put in the washer, as I'm not sure how the plastic pearls would hold up. The bow tie has a pretty short strap to it and I don't think it's going to work for larger necks. I am a men's shirt size 15-15.5/Medium generally and had to open it a lot to get it on with not a lot more length left. But if you love the design, you could always have the strap altered for you.

My husband and I attended a ball and instead of ordering everything from a gentleman's store we decided to purchase some items online since a lot of online items are cheaper. We were mainly interested in the bow tie. My husband is not a skinny man so we were hoping the necktie would fit and it did. It has lots of room and will most likely fit most sizes. The necktie looked great on him, and we were very satisfied.
