I have a rip in my canvas bell tent between the groundsheet and zip, would this fix it? Thanks

Hi there, I think it would hold during a single trip if you taped both sides of the rip but I do not think this would be a long term solution as the tape is just not that durable but would work for a quick fix I suspect. Stronger tapes like the Gorilla Tape would be a more durable solution (although i think it only comes in black) although I suspect the best option would be a tent/ groundsheet patch kit that comes with most tents these days but if you haven't got one then most camping stores should be able to help you out with one. They are only cheap and I have had to use them before and they make an almost invisible patch which is waterproof.

Could this be attached on both sides of a rip and then sewn on top off?

Certainly worth sticking the repair tape onto both sides for additional strength. You shouldn't need to stitch as well if applied properly as it may compromise the material in terms of waterproofing and strength although you haven't stated what the repair is. MCRltd

Is this tape abrasion resistant please? Need to repair a caravan cover and the tape will need to stand up to rubbing
