Well made and great size, better than expected. We are using it for our tortoise as a replacement for his 20 yr old house. Easy assembly too. I highly reccomend. By the way, what others are calling "mildew" is NOT mildew. It's residue from the Styrofoam packaging and wipes right off.

Easy to assemble, but wood is cracked or broken in 3 key spots. Not thrilled with how it will fall apart in the near future.

I bought this medium sized dog house to use as a cat shelter. It works great for that. This house is super easy to put together. The floor is kind of slatted, so I ended up caulking those pieces to prevent airflow from coming up from the bottom. This is a soft style wood in my opinion, seeing as a few screws you have to screw in when attaching the roof, go directly into the house without pre-drilled holes. You can screw them in with very little pressure applied. The house is sturdy.I had read reviews about mold being on the house when they received it. I have attached pictures of what is possibly mold on the house where you can judge for yourself. The house is packed with Styrofoam around it. Part of me thinks the mold could be material off the Styrofoam. Either way, I used bleach water to clean the whole house before I put it together and that seemed to sanitize it.

This dog house is made of cedar so it is naturally bug resistant. Big plus for an outdoor dog house.It is lightweight construction. I would not recommend for big dogs.There were pilot holes drilled for everything except the smaller interior hinges. Just hand tightening everything is more than sufficient. Maybe a drop of thread lock to keep everything snug.

Poor quality. My lab broke the door frame walking in with excitement. These houses are good size but not sturdy enough for big dogs!!

Overall great for what you’re paying for. Slightly unsturdy and some broken pieces but nothing we didn’t fix with extra washers. Smaller than I thought but works. Not for colder climates but will keep rain off and wind at bay.
