Amazon Essentials Women's Water-Resistant Collar Coat

I am 5’5 1/2 & weight is 125lbs. I usually order my coats , jackets and tops XL because I do not like form fitting clothing. I especially prefer to be able to layer clothing beneath coats & jackets.Which is why I was so surprised when I ordered this coat in a large (because of it being out of stock in my color choice in XL) and I was sure it wouldn’t be large enough but it absolutely large enough to layer another thick cardigan beneath it on top of my bulkier sweatshirts. This coat comes to my knees, also surprising because I am taller than most women and yet on the model it appears inches shorter. I am happy with this coat as it can be dressed up or down and is easy to machine washable and dry (it did not shrink). I consider this a good bargain & am happy with the purchase however I could imagine that a petite woman might find this too long.

I’m a small frame woman, 5,7, 150 lbs and I’m glad I ordered a Large. I understand Chinese women are smaller then American women, so you need to size up. I cannot wear it with a sweater or hoodie underneath, just too tight in arms. Also if you are a tall woman, the arm length will be shorter on you. The sleeve length hits me at my wrist bone. It is a lightweight coat. It is lined. Nice hidden buttons.The coat was without any odor. It is machine washable. It’s made of polyester, cotton.For the price I’ll use it. I have not washed it yet so I’ll have to update later.

I needed a coat for times when wearing my windbreaker would look sloppy. Just received this one. I ordered large and it is just a bit on the smallish side for a large. It fits me ok without a lot of bulk underneath it. If wearing with bulky sweaters, I would go up a size. I steamed it on arrival to get wrinkles out. The material is a good weight in quality (the weight of the coat is right for spring and fall). The design details are very good in the way it is constructed. Buttons are covered; neck is pieced; kick opening in back; double stitched seams. I am normally a London Fog devotee for design, quality and durability. This coat is a competitor at a lower price point, so far - have not worn it for a season, yet.

Graceful drape to the fabric, clean lines, good quality construction, and provides a slimming silhouette. Even with ample space inside, it does not appear bulky or frumpy, but clean and modern (XXL).Very high in versatility. Casual but can also be used for dress. The roominess keeps me from getting too warm in spring or fall and allows plenty of room for layers in winter.I loved the navy so much I bought a second in black. I did need to iron the packing creases.Update: "Black" version of coat was actually a darker blue color. At first I thought it was my bad vision or the light. I needed to prepare for a funeral, and I was sure it wouldn't do but didn't have time to fuss with sending it back. Had to buy something else for the funeral.

Love this jacket! It does run a little big, though. I ordered the Taupe in an XL, and it’s baggy enough to wear over a thick sweater without feeling tight. It’s really lightweight but still warm. The material is really soft and comfortable. I like it so much that I bought another one in navy in a large for when I want a less baggy fit!

I purchased the red coat and it turned out to be burnt orange. I exchanged for navy blue and the quality of the fabric is terrible, poorly made ( the seams will not lay down). I tried to return it not realizing I had less than a month to return if I was not happy with it. Last "Amazon" product I will purchase.

I don't normally do reviews on Amazon for a product unless it's either really good or really bad. I was so excited for this jacket only to end up getting the wrong color and for the size to be too big. I couldn't even go under a size because then it would be too tight in the upper area as I have broad shoulders. The fit made me look frumpy and it didn't suit me at all (though it may work for others cause everyone's bodies are different - i just didn't like it on me). Honestly i tried really hard to like this jacket and took it on and off multiple times hoping it'll look better than the last but i just couldn't. I decided to return it.

I would never guess nor does anyone else believe this rain coat is an Amazon Essionals. It is very stylish and flatterning and looks like a designer brand. If it's on the cool side I can wear a sweater underneath. Seems to be relativity water resistant. I bought a small and it fits nicely.
