It’s dumb, and that’s good!
Just a CV/CC so I can run my >5A load off it and have the battery charged for backup!

Functional
The plastic feels kind of cheap, but the charger itself is functional.

Great 5A LIPO4 14.6 volt cahrger
This is my 3rd LIPO4 charger, I have a 10 A, 20 A, and now a 5A. They are needed for different scenarios. This 5A is good for less than 100 AH battery/battery banks. I have a 4-battery, 24 AH battery bank that this charger is perfect for as well as a single 5 AH battery. it charges quickly and the light changes from red to green when the charging is completed. I have had no issues with either of the batteries I have charged with it.

basic, simple and no fancy LiFePO4 battery charger that can cover with wide range of capacity
This battery charger is for LiFePO4, maximum charging current is 5A, there is no fancy charging feature nor multi-step/phrase charging. It is simply outputting 14.6V for charging typical LiFePO4 batteries.I like its maximum current output is 5A, which can be used for charging 12V5A, 6A, 10A, 15A, ... all the way up to 100A. Cause charging less than 1C is good for the battery life in most cases. Of course for charging 100A at 5A, it will take longer time like a day for an empty one.I also like its connector is using SAE, instead of just a clip, so it can be used for other project where equip with SAE connector. The worst part is that it doesn't has any documentation nor specification. Also, it doesn't has any active ventilation fan nor "grill" slots for passive ventilation as well, luckily the wattage isn't that high, so put it in good air ventilation area while charging should be okay.It is a basic and simple charge dedicated for charging LiFePO4 batteries only, no voltage adjustment of any kind. Good to have one as a backup "slow" charger.

Works well for LiFePo4 batteries
Puts out 14.8 volts at a constant current. I put it onto a charged battery, and it charged the battery for just a few seconds before shutting down (as expected).I put it on a discharged battery and it brought it up to a full charge. The charger doesn't get overly warm. It's small enough to fit in a tool bag.Works for me.

It charges .....but
It is a VERY basic charger. No instructions the only indication of anything is a little light on top of it. It also gets VERY hot, I had to stop the charging of my battery at 60% to allow the charger to cool down. I'm now charging it again. On a basic level, it charges. It needs instructions, and a better indication of charging.

Nice value in a quality charger
This is a nice charger that has a quality feel to the case. I've tested it with a number of different batteries without any issues. It has clamps as well as an auto plug which fits my Harley charger port. Testing this charger on the meter showed 14.61v at rest and no AC leakage. Charging is completely uneventful. I use it on a 6Ah LifePO4, and a couple LifePO4 motorcycle batteries.

Definitely not recommended
Don't buy it. This is an invalid LiFePo4 battery charger.Package:There is no user manual or spec sheet included in the package. Aside from the Amazon product page, all the technical information/specs you'll find about the device come from the printed label on the brick. There are no clues on the product's nameplate to identify it as a designated 12.8V LiFePo4 battery charger. You can only see 'Output: DC 14.6V/5.0A'. As an AC appliance, it does not have the UL mark, which is required for any appliance plugged into an AC outlet. The design:There is no battery type selection (which is okay since it is supposed to be a dedicated 12.8V LiFePo4 battery charger). There is no battery status indicator, only the red light is on when charging and the green light is on when fully charged. You won't know if your battery is close to dead, close to full, or somewhere in between. All you can do is hook it up and wait for the light to turn green, you never know when it will happen. As the $40 smart charger claims, it should provide users with more information like almost any other chargers on the market.Worst of all, it can't charge 12.8V LiFePo4 batteries. I let my 12.8V 20Ah (256Wh) battery discharge to near empty (11V) and then hooked up this charger. When the battery reaches 12.6V, the charger stops working (red light off, green light on) for about 20 minutes. The power meter (Kill a Watt) registered 48Wh including all conversion losses.Instead of return, I have requested an exchange from Amazon in case it was a defective device that QC missed. I'll update the review if the new unit does it better.I can't tell if this is actually the smart charger it claims to be because my device doesn't work.
