Roll on Retinol! Yes please!
This caught my eye on Instagram when I saw a doctor account recommending it. The packaging is easy to use, and the product comes out smooth as well. Do you really need a roller on any product? No, but it is fun to use and it makes me want to use the product.. i have had some sensitivity and slight peeling after 4 days of using. It absorbs easily, isnt sticky, and has no noticeable scent. I like this product more than most retinols ive used because with the roller i know it is going on even and layering well with my other products. I will repurchase!

So far so good! Really like the cream. Not a fan of the roller though
This comes in a nice outer product box. It’s made in Korea. It’s veganI’ve tried other products from SKIN&LAB and usually really like them. I LOVE Korean skin care! They usually have some of the best ingredients and are usually at a more affordable price point than Western skin care products that also don’t always have the best ingredients. So I was excited to give this a try! This is a light consistency - not runny but not extremely thick. It’s a faint yellow color. I didn’t notice a scent at all.The product page says this uses a plant-based retinol. That usually means bakuchiol, which is a plant based ALTERNATIVE to retinol. Plant based retinol alternatives have been shown to provide same benefits but without the side effects (like dry skin, irritation). But, there isn’t a ton of clinical studies on them. I prefer actual retinol since I haven’t had much luck with plant based retinol alternatives. But, since I’ve liked products from this brand before, I figured I’d try it and see. I wasn’t completely sure if their plant based retinol was bakuchiol since the ingredient list wasn’t on the product page when I ordered this. But once I got the product and saw the ingredient list, I saw it listed “retinol” as the 11th ingredient and bakuchiol as the 12th ingredient. So I was happy to see it has actual retinol. But, the product box also said this is a “2% phyto-retinol complex.” I’m guessing it’s a complex of retinol and bakuchiol. I love that it gives the percentage. There’s lots of brands that list key ingredients but don’t give amount. I prefer to know the amount. This also has other good ingredients in it like niacinamide, peptides, and hyaluronic acid. The tube is a squeeze tube with a metal roller on it. You squeeze the tube so product comes out onto the metal roller and then use the roller to disperse the product onto your face. I’ve tried products with rollers like this for under the eyes, but never for the entire face. With the ones for under the eyes, I was never really a fan. I found they either didn’t roll well enough (or at all) once the product came out. If they did roll, they didn’t seem to help the product get absorbed into my skin. It was as if I was just moving the product around. So I’d always end up using my fingers to rub the product in anyways. Given that it usually made it harder to squeeze the product out with the roller on top, I just felt it was unnecessary since it didn’t help. But, I was hoping since this is a bigger roller meant for the full face, it might give different results. This was a little hard to squeeze out with the roller, but I figured it out. Thankfully, the roller actually rolled easily. The cream spread onto the skin easily. But, just like I’d experienced with rollers in the past, the cream just seemed to move around on my skin and not really absorb into my skin. I don’t understand why that happens, but it happens every time I use a cream with a roller like this. I ended up having to go in with my fingers to get it to absorb into my skin. While I was using the roller, it felt nice and cooling on the skin. Once I used my fingers, the cream absorbed easily. It didn’t leave any kind of residue on my skin or greasy feel. It felt kind of moisturizing, but not enough for my dry skin. I did have to apply another moisturizer over top once I gave this time to settle into my skin completely. It hasn’t been enough time to see results with this yet. But, I have been enjoying using it and will continue to use it and hopefully see results. I’m not a fan of the roller. It feels nice on the skin being cooling, but it’s not helpful with the cream so for me, it’s just easier to use my fingers. But I like how easily the cream spreads on the skin and how quickly it absorbs. I like it doesn’t leave any residue. It works well with the rest of my skincare without pilling. It hasn’t irritated my skin at all or made it feel drier than it already is. So far, I really like this!FULL INGREDIENT LISTWater, Dipropylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, 1,2-hexanediol, Niacinamide, Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Glucoside, Erythritol, Retinol, Bakuchiol, sh-Oligopeptide-1, sh-Polypeptide-1, Soluble Collagen, sh-Oligopeptide-2, sh-Polypeptide-22, Tocopheryl Acetate, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) FlowerExtract, Populus Nigra Bark/Bud/Leaf/Twig Extract, Betaine, Sorbitan Olivate, C13-16 Isoalkane, Polyglyceryl-3 Stearate, Heptyl Undecylenate, Sunflower Seed Oil Glycerides, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Carbomer, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/Vp Copolymer, Tromethamine, Ethylhexylglycerin, Arginine, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Dextrin, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Gardenia Florida Fruit Extract, Adenosine, Cholesterol, Phosphatidylcholine, BHA, BHT

Quite happy
It is likely this products gimmick but I do like the attached rollers. A little bit goes a long way and the rollers goes smoothly across my skin. Seeing a difference in my skin even after just 2 weeks.

Too greasy
Too greasy and stayed greasy, ended up causing break out. I will stick with my other retinol product.

Works really well, great for retinol beginners
I love this product and how it comes with a roller. It’s super easy to use and has just enough retinol for beginnjng retinol users like me. I wore them daily, but by Day 5, my skin started peeling so I took off two days and started using again. I can tell my skin has improved
