A great "inbetweener"
A great "inbetweener". Do you want a quick game as an appetizer, or amuse bouche, between lengthier, more complex games? Than this is a good one. Quick to learn, when one person knows how to play they can just have the quick play rules on the side, and explain the game to new players in about two minutes. Doesn't hold up to hours of endless play, this one is fun to cycle through on a semi-regular basis.

Hex Hex XI
We found out about this game from an older cousin, and my teenage kids were instantly hooked. It takes some brainwork, and it's not for anyone who will take this personally and get upset. It's a game, and that's what it's supposed to be. It gets more advanced as the players learn things, and my kids take it everywhere there's a party.

Love this game but the box came beat up
I bought this game knowing that I would enjoy it as I had already played it. Great game would recommend.BUT... When I got the game the top was ripped on two opposite corners and the bottom was heavily dented there too. This is annoying as the box isn't great quality and will probably rip later on now. Also didn't notice how cheap the token pieces are. Doesn't affect too much but disappointing.TLDR I recommend this game but I hope your's comes in better condition than mine, problem could have been solved if they used better quality in the first place.

Have fun stabbing your friends in the back!!!
This is a wonderful game. My gaming group plays this regularly. However if you are used to the original version of Hex Hex be aware this is the third release of it. It contains Hex Hex 1.5, Hex Hex Next, Hexen Sticks, & Vexed. The last two are new expansions. Be aware though that the versions of Hex Hex 1.5 and Hex Hex Next contained are both missing some cards from the original versions of there respective games. They say that they have done this in order to help balance the game. One such example is "detonate" has been removed and replaced with "stun". Also there is no "Hex Hex Next" card. I was used to the original releases of the game. However I have gotten used to this new rebalanced version and do have to say it is better balanced and still just as amazingly fun as ever.

Just plain Fun
I had the fortune to play Hex Hex XL with the creator( whose name is escaping me right now) over summer before it came out and was waiting very impatiently for it ti be officially released. Ive played with many of my friends and we have a lot of trouble stopping. the rules are simple if you are used to any kind of card game and its easy to pick up after a few hands though some of the terminology is a bit confusing but the rules are very clear and well organized so a quick peek always fixed any confusion. the game is most fun with more than 4. Like i said Hex Hex is just fun and i will enjoy the game for many years to come

Fun, easy to learn
This has slowly become a group favorite. In a nutshell it is a hot potatoe game, where the hot potatoe is a curse/hex that knocks you out of the game. Use your hand wisely to deflect the hex away from you and be the last one uncursed to win each round. Our group enjoys playing this one fairly regularly. Recommend when playing with new people to remove the Deception card, it's a little silly when a new person gets it.

The versitility
While I do miss the old Hex Hex and Hex Hex Next, this combined version has sufficed since I didn't have a copy and really wanted one. While I haven't tried playing the other expansions in this collection, the original Hex Hex cards are a blast to play with everyone. I've played with as few as 4 and as many of 10! (We created additional score cards to accommadate others.) It's a great game to spend time with friends and learn where their true loyalties lie.
