My new handyman turned out to be a mindless force of nature who couldn’t put together furniture even if God himself requested assembly instead of wanton destruction during the next episode of Where Will It Land: Hurricane Edition. He literally unseated a cam while tightening it and put a crack in one of the boards from screwing in the top even with this big shiny cam visible. Even when he didn’t have the holes—which were perfectly drilled and placed by the way—lining up. When I pointed this out, he blamed it on the manufacturer. Like a karen. Not like my Aunt Karen, she’s brilliant and understands the meaning of user error and half-@$$. But the manufacturing of this unit was, upon closer inspection, perfect. He flat out lied.Let me tell you how happy that I, an actual cripple, was when I saw that this furniture not only took the handyman’s abuse but that I was able to reseat the cams and align them properly myself. It can’t have been that mentally or physically taxing as I did it while I also had a stress migraine from finding problems with other furniture he assembled. So I’m comfy in saying that take your time and you too can assemble it without destroying it. Just have someone help you lift the pieces if needed, as they are unwieldy later in the process.It’s still stable and lovely, even after Hurricane Phil, so I’m getting some wood glue and fixing the crack. I’ll post a picture then. This piece deserves a good one. The packaging and materials and looks are excellent.

This is of very poor construction and quality. Flimsy particle board. A disaster to put together - even with professional help. Not sure how this is so highly rated. It is complete trash and only fit for the dumpster. Total waste of money. Save yourself the heartache.

This is great for an entryway! Holds my purse in the cupboard, shoes in the bin. Everything is out of site. Love it!!

This arrived to be put together. It was rather complicated and took my husband most of the day. This is the reason I am giving it four stars instead of five. The appearance and quality once it's together is very nice and sturdy. The parts were not damaged, such as scratches, nicks, or dents!I am very pleased with my purchase and I would recommend it if the person has patience and skill at putting things together! It really is a beautiful piece of furniture!
