This is an incredibly solid product, down to it being 32⁰F and windy out. Anytime I use it above freezing temperatures, I often have to take it off at some point due to it being so effective. Below freezing and I would maybe start considering something a little thicker, though.It can/will absorb your breath smell, just an fyi. Has a decent amount of material to help it stay under your collar.

Just opened my package, and at first I was concerned it was a bit small. I’ve put it on, and it’s snug. And I’ve got short hair or it would be a real problem. I’m sure it will do the trick under my bike helmet. But wish it was just a teeny bit looser. I see a lot of comments about this being too big 😆

When purchased, I thought this might be something heavier. It's not as light as a balaclava made by bicycle clothing companies, but it appears to be much more durable. I've found it to be much warmer than the weight would make one think. It is a little difficult breathing through with it covering the mouth and nose but I have COPD which makes any mask difficult to breathe through. You can wear glasses with this product, but you'll have to breathe strictly through your nose to keep your glasses fog free. This is problem with every balaclava I've used as well as cheaper ski masks, though prescription ski goggles would work well here without fogging. Worn with covering everything but the nose would be best if you absolutely have to have glasses to see. The fit on this is excellent for a one size fits all product and unlike others does cover your neck sufficiently to prevent drafts to all sides of your neck. It's even comfortable enough to wear on a cold night camping. I never noticed it while sleeping in a mummy bag at 23°F with only a hoody and the bag head covering I stayed plenty toast without pulling the drawstrings tight on the bag head covering or the inner shoulder seal. I seriously doubt I'll wear this in summer or without additional head covering in the winter so can't attest to said sun protection.
