Elk RidgeTrapper ER-220 Series

This is a great knife for the price, sharp blade and has nice weight to it. Not the least bit flimsy. The etching on the handle makes it unique and I hope to have it for a lifetime. This would make a great gift for an outdoorsman. I bought it for a camping trip and used it often, it's become my everyday pocketknife.The pointed blade is good for cutting (say for something like cleaning a small fish or cutting a block of cheddar cheese, both were tested) and the blade with the blunt tip is good for whittling or prepping shavings for kindling, we also used it to cut packing tape when opening some Amazon boxes ;-).

It's nothing special, but for less than $5 who cares? It feels sturdy enough, looks nice, and with a little sharpening it's pretty functional. 440 steel, made in China, and most likely pakkawood (manufactured wood) but for the price it's worth it.

Excellent value for the money. Fit and finish impressive for the price. A real gem and surprise. I am an avid knife collector so I wouldn’t say it if I didn’t mean it.

Sharp as a razor and maintains it's edge, For the price it is an excellent purchase.

It isn't the worst knife ever, but it's ugly and seems to be cheaply built. Not bad for the price, but not good, either.

The problem here was not the quality of the knife sent, which was a decent Trapper pattern knifeThe problem was that the image and initial description refer to a 3 inch STOCKMAN pattern knife with three blades!A second description further down the page says 3.5 inch trapper, which was what was actually sent.At this price, not worth the hassle of returning (and no return reciept was included in the package) but I would like to have received the actual knife pictured and initially described!

A good size carry knife with sharp blades and a nice dark red handle.
