Matchbox Sky Busters River Flyer, Includes playmat [Indiana Jones]

The "Raiders of the Lost Ark" floatplane that Indiana Jones used to escape an angry mob was a Waco Aircraft Company UBF-2 and the movie plane is reported to be on display in Tokyo Disneyland. Inside the movie world, having a plane and pilot standing by in the right place at the right time must be part of the willing suspension of disbelief. Many movies have practical effects that require a physical machine. The UBF-2 was built in the right time period, the OB-CPO wasn't a real aircraft number but could have been registered in Peru during the 1930's, and rivers served where there were no roads as both highways and floatplane runways. All this from a little toy--and a movie. There are stories behind the stories.
